حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْکَةَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ کَانَ يَقْتُلُ الْحَيَّاتِ ثُمَّ نَهَی قَالَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَدَمَ حَائِطًا لَهُ فَوَجَدَ فِيهِ سِلْخَ حَيَّةٍ فَقَالَ انْظُرُوا أَيْنَ هُوَ فَنَظَرُوا فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ فَکُنْتُ أَقْتُلُهَا لِذَلِکَ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَقْتُلُوا الْجِنَّانَ إِلَّا کُلَّ أَبْتَرَ ذِي طُفْيَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يُسْقِطُ الْوَلَدَ وَيُذْهِبُ الْبَصَرَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ

Narrated Abu Mulaika: Ibn `Umar used to kill snakes, but afterwards he forbade their killing and said, "Once the Prophet pulled down a wall and saw a cast-off skin of a snake in it. He said, 'Look for the snake. 'They found it and the Prophet said, "Kill it." For this reason I used to kill snakes.

فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "لَا تَقْتُلُوا الْجِنَّانَ إِلَّا كُلَّ أَبْتَرَ ذِي طُفْيَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يُسْقِطُ الْوَلَدَ وَيُذْهِبُ الْبَصَرَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ".

Later on I met Abu Lubaba who told me the Prophet said, 'Do not kill snakes except the short-tailed or mutilated-tailed snake with two white lines on its back, for it causes abortion and makes one blind. So kill it.' "

فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ

Narrated Nafi`: Ibn `Umar used to kill snakes.

فَحَدَّثَهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ "نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ جِنَّانِ الْبُيُوتِ فَأَمْسَكَ عَنْهَا".

But when Abu Lubaba informed him that the Prophet had forbidden the killing of snakes living in houses, he gave up killing them.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَمْسٌ فَوَاسِقُ يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحَرَمِ الْفَأْرَةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْحُدَيَّا وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْکَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet said, "Five kinds of animals are mischief-doers and can be killed even in the Sanctuary: They are the rat the scorpion, the kite, the crow and the rabid dog."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِکٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَمْسٌ مِنْ الدَّوَابِّ مَنْ قَتَلَهُنَّ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَقْرَبُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْکَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "It is not sinful of a person in the state of Ihram to kill any of these five animals: The scorpion, the rat, the rabid dog, the crow and the kite."

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ کَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا رَفَعَهُ قَالَ خَمِّرُوا الْآنِيَةَ وَأَوْکُوا الْأَسْقِيَةَ وَأَجِيفُوا الْأَبْوَابَ وَاکْفِتُوا صِبْيَانَکُمْ عِنْدَ الْعِشَائِ فَإِنَّ لِلْجِنِّ انْتِشَارًا وَخَطْفَةً وَأَطْفِئُوا الْمَصَابِيحَ عِنْدَ الرُّقَادِ فَإِنَّ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ رُبَّمَا اجْتَرَّتْ الْفَتِيلَةَ فَأَحْرَقَتْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَحَبِيبٌ عَنْ عَطَائٍ فَإِنَّ لِلشَّيَاطِينِ

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet said, "Cover your utensils and tie your water skins, and close your doors and keep your children close to you at night, as the Jinns spread out at such time and snatch things away. When you go to bed, put out your lights, for the mischief-doer (i.e. the rat) may drag away the wick of the candle and burn the dwellers of the house." Ata said, "The devils." (instead of the Jinns).

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ کُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَارٍ فَنَزَلَتْ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا فَإِنَّا لَنَتَلَقَّاهَا مِنْ فِيهِ إِذْ خَرَجَتْ حَيَّةٌ مِنْ جُحْرِهَا فَابْتَدَرْنَاهَا لِنَقْتُلَهَا فَسَبَقَتْنَا فَدَخَلَتْ جُحْرَهَا فَقَال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وُقِيَتْ شَرَّکُمْ کَمَا وُقِيتُمْ شَرَّهَا وَعَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَهُ قَالَ وَإِنَّا لَنَتَلَقَّاهَا مِنْ فِيهِ رَطْبَةً وَتَابَعَهُ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ وَقَالَ حَفْصٌ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ قَرْمٍ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مثله

Narrated `Abdullah: Once we were in the company of Allah's Apostle in a cave. Surat-al-Mursalat (77) was revealed there, and we were learning it from Allah's Apostle . Suddenly a snake came out of its hole and we rushed towards it to kill it, but it hastened and entered its hole before we were able to catch it. Allah's Apostle said," It has been saved from your evil and you have been saved from its evil."

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَی حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْکُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, "A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth. "

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِکٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَزَلَ نَبِيٌّ مِنْ الْأَنْبِيَائِ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ فَلَدَغَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ فَأَمَرَ بِجَهَازِهِ فَأُخْرِجَ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِبَيْتِهَا فَأُحْرِقَ بِالنَّارِ فَأَوْحَی اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ فَهَلَّا نَمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Once while a prophet amongst the prophets was taking a rest underneath a tree, an ant bit him. He, therefore, ordered that his luggage be taken away from underneath that tree and then ordered that the dwelling place of the ants should be set on fire. Allah sent him a revelation:-- "Wouldn't it have been sufficient to burn a single ant? (that bit you): (See Page 162, chapter No. 153).

حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ حُنَيْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي شَرَابِ أَحَدِکُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ ثُمَّ لِيَنْزِعْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي إِحْدَی جَنَاحَيْهِ دَائً وَالْأُخْرَی شِفَائً

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said "If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease."

أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ← عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، ← عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ← سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ← خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الْأَزْرَقُ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ غُفِرَ لِامْرَأَةٍ مُومِسَةٍ مَرَّتْ بِکَلْبٍ عَلَی رَأْسِ رَکِيٍّ يَلْهَثُ قَالَ کَادَ يَقْتُلُهُ الْعَطَشُ فَنَزَعَتْ خُفَّهَا فَأَوْثَقَتْهُ بِخِمَارِهَا فَنَزَعَتْ لَهُ مِنْ الْمَائِ فَغُفِرَ لَهَا بِذَلِکَ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that."

غُفِرَ لِامْرَأَةٍ مُومِسَةٍ مَرَّتْ بِکَلْبٍ عَلَی رَأْسِ رَکِيٍّ يَلْهَثُ ← رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ← أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← الْحَسَنِ وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ ← عَوْفٌ، ← إِسْحَاقُ الْأَزْرَقُ، ← الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ
