حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ وَأَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَی عَنْ کَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَرَّ بِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أُوقِدُ تَحْتَ الْقِدْرِ فَقَالَ أَيُؤْذِيکَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِکَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَدَعَا الْحَلَّاقَ فَحَلَقَهُ ثُمَّ أَمَرَنِي بِالْفِدَائِ

Narrated Al-Qasim bin Muhammad: `Aisha, (complaining of headache) said, "Oh, my head"! Allah's Apostle said, "I wish that had happened while I was still living, for then I would ask Allah's Forgiveness for you and invoke Allah for you." Aisha said, "Wa thuklayah! By Allah, I think you want me to die; and If this should happen, you would spend the last part of the day sleeping with one of your wives!" The Prophet said, "Nay, I should say, 'Oh my head!' I felt like sending for Abu Bakr and his son, and appoint him as my successor lest some people claimed something or some others wished something, but then I said (to myself), 'Allah would not allow it to be otherwise, and the Muslims would prevent it to be otherwise".

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَحْيَی أَبُو زَکَرِيَّائَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَا رَأْسَاهْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاکِ لَوْ کَانَ وَأَنَا حَيٌّ فَأَسْتَغْفِرَ لَکِ وَأَدْعُوَ لَکِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَا ثُکْلِيَاهْ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّکَ تُحِبُّ مَوْتِي وَلَوْ کَانَ ذَاکَ لَظَلِلْتَ آخِرَ يَوْمِکَ مُعَرِّسًا بِبَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِکَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَلْ أَنَا وَا رَأْسَاهْ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَوْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَی أَبِي بَکْرٍ وَابْنِهِ وَأَعْهَدَ أَنْ يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُونَ أَوْ يَتَمَنَّی الْمُتَمَنُّونَ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ يَأْبَی اللَّهُ وَيَدْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ أَوْ يَدْفَعُ اللَّهُ وَيَأْبَی الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

Narrated Ibn Mas`ud: I visited the Prophet while he was having a high fever. I touched him an said, "You have a very high fever" He said, "Yes, as much fever as two me of you may have." I said. "you will have a double reward?" He said, "Yes No Muslim is afflicted with hurt caused by disease or some other inconvenience, but that Allah will remove his sins as a tree sheds its leaves."

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَی حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُوعَکُ فَمَسِسْتُهُ بِيَدِي فَقُلْتُ إِنَّکَ لَتُوعَکُ وَعْکًا شَدِيدًا قَالَ أَجَلْ کَمَا يُوعَکُ رَجُلَانِ مِنْکُمْ قَالَ لَکَ أَجْرَانِ قَالَ نَعَمْ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصِيبُهُ أَذًی مَرَضٌ فَمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِ کَمَا تَحُطُّ الشَّجَرَةُ وَرَقَهَا

Narrated Sa`d: Allah's Apostle came to visit me during my ailment which had been aggravated during Hajjat-al- Wada`. I said to him, "You see how sick I am. I have much property but have no heir except my only daughter May I give two thirds of my property in charity?"! He said, "No." I said, "Half of it?" He said, "No." I said "One third?" He said, "One third is too much, for to leave your heirs rich is better than to leave them poor, begging of others. Nothing you spend seeking Allah's pleasure but you shall get a reward for it, even for what you put in the mouth of your wife."

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَی بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ جَائَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُنِي مِنْ وَجَعٍ اشْتَدَّ بِي زَمَنَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقُلْتُ بَلَغَ بِي مَا تَرَی وَأَنَا ذُو مَالٍ وَلَا يَرِثُنِي إِلَّا ابْنَةٌ لِي أَفَأَتَصَدَّقُ بِثُلُثَيْ مَالِي قَالَ لَا قُلْتُ بِالشَّطْرِ قَالَ لَا قُلْتُ الثُّلُثُ قَالَ الثُّلُثُ کَثِيرٌ أَنْ تَدَعَ وَرَثَتَکَ أَغْنِيَائَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَذَرَهُمْ عَالَةً يَتَکَفَّفُونَ النَّاسَ وَلَنْ تُنْفِقَ نَفَقَةً تَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا أُجِرْتَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّی مَا تَجْعَلُ فِي فِي امْرَأَتِکَ

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When Allah's Apostle was on his death-bed and in the house there were some people among whom was `Umar bin Al-Khattab, the Prophet said, "Come, let me write for you a statement after which you will not go astray." `Umar said, "The Prophet is seriously ill and you have the Qur'an; so the Book of Allah is enough for us." The people present in the house differed and quarrelled. Some said "Go near so that the Prophet may write for you a statement after which you will not go astray," while the others said as `Umar said. When they caused a hue and cry before the Prophet, Allah's Apostle said, "Go away!" Narrated 'Ubaidullah: Ibn `Abbas used to say, "It was very unfortunate that Allah's Apostle was prevented from writing that statement for them because of their disagreement and noise."

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَی حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ و حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ لَمَّا حُضِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي الْبَيْتِ رِجَالٌ فِيهِمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلُمَّ أَکْتُبْ لَکُمْ کِتَابًا لَا تَضِلُّوا بَعْدَهُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ غَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَجَعُ وَعِنْدَکُمْ الْقُرْآنُ حَسْبُنَا کِتَابُ اللَّهِ فَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ فَاخْتَصَمُوا مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ قَرِّبُوا يَکْتُبْ لَکُمْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کِتَابًا لَنْ تَضِلُّوا بَعْدَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ مَا قَالَ عُمَرُ فَلَمَّا أَکْثَرُوا اللَّغْوَ وَالِاخْتِلَافَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُومُوا قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ فَکَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الرَّزِيَّةَ کُلَّ الرَّزِيَّةِ مَا حَالَ بَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَکْتُبَ لَهُمْ ذَلِکَ الْکِتَابَ مِنْ اخْتِلَافِهِمْ وَلَغَطِهِمْ

Narrated As-Sa'ib: My aunt took me to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! My nephew is- ill." The Prophet touched my head with his hand and invoked Allah to bless me. He then performed ablution and I drank of the remaining water of his ablution and then stood behind his back and saw "Khatam An- Nubuwwa" (The Seal of Prophethood) between his shoulders like a button of a tent.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "None of you should wish for death because of a calamity befalling him; but if he has to wish for death, he should say: "O Allah! Keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and let me die if death is better for me.' "

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُکُمْ الْمَوْتَ مِنْ ضُرٍّ أَصَابَهُ فَإِنْ کَانَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَلْيَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا کَانَتْ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا کَانَتْ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي

Narrated Qais bin Abi Hazim: We went to pay a visit to Khabbab (who was sick) and he had been branded (cauterized) at seven places in his body. He said, "Our companions who died (during the lifetime of the Prophet) left (this world) without having their rewards reduced through enjoying the pleasures of this life, but we have got (so much) wealth that we find no way to spend It except on the construction of buildings Had the Prophet not forbidden us to wish for death, I would have wished for it.' We visited him for the second time while he was building a wall. He said, A Muslim is rewarded (in the Hereafter) for whatever he spends except for something that he spends on building."

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَی خَبَّابٍ نَعُودُهُ وَقَدْ اکْتَوَی سَبْعَ کَيَّاتٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَنَا الَّذِينَ سَلَفُوا مَضَوْا وَلَمْ تَنْقُصْهُمْ الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّا أَصَبْنَا مَا لَا نَجِدُ لَهُ مَوْضِعًا إِلَّا التُّرَابَ وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَدْعُوَ بِالْمَوْتِ لَدَعَوْتُ بِهِ ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَاهُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَی وَهُوَ يَبْنِي حَائِطًا لَهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَيُؤْجَرُ فِي کُلِّ شَيْئٍ يُنْفِقُهُ إِلَّا فِي شَيْئٍ يَجْعَلُهُ فِي هَذَا التُّرَابِ

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The good deeds of any person will not make him enter Paradise." (i.e., None can enter Paradise through his good deeds.) They (the Prophet's companions) said, 'Not even you, O Allah's Apostle?' He said, "Not even myself, unless Allah bestows His favor and mercy on me." So be moderate in your religious deeds and do the deeds that are within your ability: and none of you should wish for death, for if he is a good doer, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil doer, he may repent to Allah."

إِنَّ أَصْحَابَنَا الَّذِينَ سَلَفُوا مَضَوْا وَلَمْ تُنْقِصْهُمُ الدُّنْيَا، ← دَخَلْنَا عَلَى خَبَّابٍ نَعُودُهُ، وَقَدِ اكْتَوَى سَبْعَ كَيَّاتٍ، ← قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ2 ← إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي1 خَالِدٍ ← شُعْبَةُ، ← آدَمُ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ثُمَامَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ کَانَ لَا يَرُدُّ الطِّيبَ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ لَا يَرُدُّ الطِّيبَ

Narrated `Abdullah: Allah has cursed those women who practise tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those who remove their face hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and such women as change the features created by Allah. Why then should I not curse those whom the Prophet has cursed? And that is in Allah's Book. i.e. His Saying: 'And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).' (59.7)

Narrated Humaid bin `Abdur-Rahman bin `Auf: that in the year he performed Hajj. he heard Mu'awiya bin Abi Sufyan, who was on the pulpit and was taking a tuft of hair from one of his guards, saying, "Where are your religious learned men? I heard Allah's Apostle forbidding this (false hair) and saying, 'The children of Israel were destroyed when their women started using this.'"

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاشِمَاتِ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَاتِ وَالْمُتَنَمِّصَاتِ وَالْمُتَفَلِّجَاتِ لِلْحُسْنِ الْمُغَيِّرَاتِ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَی مَالِي لَا أَلْعَنُ مَنْ لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي کِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَمَا آتَاکُمْ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah has cursed the lady who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and the one who gets her hair lengthened and the One who tattoos (herself or someone else) and the one who gets herself tattooed"

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِکٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَامَ حَجَّ وَهُوَ عَلَی الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ وَتَنَاوَلَ قُصَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ کَانَتْ بِيَدِ حَرَسِيٍّ أَيْنَ عُلَمَاؤُکُمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَی عَنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّمَا هَلَکَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ حِينَ اتَّخَذَ هَذِهِ نِسَاؤُهُمْ وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَائِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

Narrated `Aisha: An Ansari girl was married and she became sick and all her hair fell out intending to provide her with false hair. They asked the Prophet who said, "Allah has cursed the lady who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and also the one who gets her hair lengthened."

لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ ← النَّبِيِّ ← أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← عَطَائِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ← زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ← فُلَيْحٌ، ← يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ← ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ← إِنَّمَا هَلَکَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ حِينَ اتَّخَذَ هَذِهِ نِسَاؤُهُمْ ← مِثْلِ هَذِهِ ← رَسُولَ اللَّهِ «يَنْهَى ← وَتَنَاوَلَ قُصَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ كَانَتْ بِيَدِ حَرَسِيٍّ: أَيْنَ عُلَمَاؤُكُمْ؟ ← معاوية بن أبي سفيان عام حج وهو على المنبر وهو ← حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ, أَنَّهُ ← ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ← مَالِكٍ، ← إِسْمَاعِيلُ
