حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِکٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حُطَّتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَإِنْ کَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← اَبِیْ صَالِحٍ ← سُمَيٍّ ← مَالِكٍ، ← عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ،

حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ کَلِمَتَانِ خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَی اللِّسَانِ ثَقِيلَتَانِ فِي الْمِيزَانِ حَبِيبَتَانِ إِلَی الرَّحْمَنِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "There are two expressions which are very easy for the tongue to say, but they are very heavy in the balance and are very dear to The Beneficent (Allah), and they are, 'Subhan Allah Al- `Azim and 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi.'"

النَّبِيِّ ← أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ← عُمَارَةَ، ← ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، ← زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَی رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْکُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لَا يَذْکُرُ رَبَّهُ مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, "The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one."

اَبِیْ مُوْسیٰ ← أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، ← بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ← أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلائِ

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَلَائِکَةً يَطُوفُونَ فِي الطُّرُقِ يَلْتَمِسُونَ أَهْلَ الذِّکْرِ فَإِذَا وَجَدُوا قَوْمًا يَذْکُرُونَ اللَّهَ تَنَادَوْا هَلُمُّوا إِلَی حَاجَتِکُمْ قَالَ فَيَحُفُّونَهُمْ بِأَجْنِحَتِهِمْ إِلَی السَّمَائِ الدُّنْيَا قَالَ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ مِنْهُمْ مَا يَقُولُ عِبَادِي قَالُوا يَقُولُونَ يُسَبِّحُونَکَ وَيُکَبِّرُونَکَ وَيَحْمَدُونَکَ وَيُمَجِّدُونَکَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ هَلْ رَأَوْنِي قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَوْکَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ وَکَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْنِي قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ رَأَوْکَ کَانُوا أَشَدَّ لَکَ عِبَادَةً وَأَشَدَّ لَکَ تَمْجِيدًا وَتَحْمِيدًا وَأَکْثَرَ لَکَ تَسْبِيحًا قَالَ يَقُولُ فَمَا يَسْأَلُونِي قَالَ يَسْأَلُونَکَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَقُولُ وَهَلْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَبِّ مَا رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُ فَکَيْفَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوْهَا کَانُوا أَشَدَّ عَلَيْهَا حِرْصًا وَأَشَدَّ لَهَا طَلَبًا وَأَعْظَمَ فِيهَا رَغْبَةً قَالَ فَمِمَّ يَتَعَوَّذُونَ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ مِنْ النَّارِ قَالَ يَقُولُ وَهَلْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَبِّ مَا رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُ فَکَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ رَأَوْهَا کَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهَا فِرَارًا وَأَشَدَّ لَهَا مَخَافَةً قَالَ فَيَقُولُ فَأُشْهِدُکُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُمْ قَالَ يَقُولُ مَلَکٌ مِنْ الْمَلَائِکَةِ فِيهِمْ فُلَانٌ لَيْسَ مِنْهُمْ إِنَّمَا جَائَ لِحَاجَةٍ قَالَ هُمْ الْجُلَسَائُ لَا يَشْقَی بِهِمْ جَلِيسُهُمْ رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ وَرَوَاهُ سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah 's Apostle said, "Allah has some angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit.' " He added, "Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world." He added. "(after those people celebrated the Praises of Allah, and the angels go back), their Lord, asks them (those angels)----though He knows better than them----'What do My slaves say?' The angels reply, 'They say: Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, and Alham-du-li l-lah, Allah then says 'Did they see Me?' The angels reply, 'No! By Allah, they didn't see You.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw Me?' The angels reply, 'If they saw You, they would worship You more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply, and declare Your freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' Allah says (to the angels), 'What do they ask Me for?' The angels reply, 'They ask You for Paradise.' Allah says (to the angels), 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No! By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek It with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.' Allah says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The angels reply, 'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' Allah says, 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.' Then Allah says, 'I make you witnesses that I have forgiven them."' Allah's Apostle added, "One of the angels would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.' Allah would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.' "

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَی الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ أَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي عَقَبَةٍ أَوْ قَالَ فِي ثَنِيَّةٍ قَالَ فَلَمَّا عَلَا عَلَيْهَا رَجُلٌ نَادَی فَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَکْبَرُ قَالَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی بَغْلَتِهِ قَالَ فَإِنَّکُمْ لَا تَدْعُونَ أَصَمَّ وَلَا غَائِبًا ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَبَا مُوسَی أَوْ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ أَلَا أَدُلُّکَ عَلَی کَلِمَةٍ مِنْ کَنْزِ الْجَنَّةِ قُلْتُ بَلَی قَالَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari: The Prophet started ascending a high place or hill. A man (amongst his companions) ascended it and shouted in a loud voice, "La ilaha illal-lahu wallahu Akbar." (At that time) Allah's Apostle was riding his mule. Allah's Apostle said, "You are not calling upon a deaf or an absent one." and added, "O Abu Musa (or, O `Abdullah)! Shall I tell you a sentence from the treasure of Paradise?" I said, "Yes." He said, "La haul a wala quwwata illa billah,"

أَبِي مُوسَی الأَشْعَرِيِّ ← أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ← سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رِوَايَةً قَالَ لِلَّهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ اسْمًا مِائَةٌ إِلَّا وَاحِدًا لَا يَحْفَظُهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَهُوَ وَتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوَتْرَ قال ابوعبد الله من احصاها من حفظها

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is witr (one) and loves 'the witr' (i.e., odd numbers).

أَبِي هُرَيْرَة، رِوَايَةً، ← الْأَعْرَجِ ← حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنْ أبِي الزِّنَادِ, ← سُفْيَانَ، ← عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ،

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ قَالَ کُنَّا نَنْتَظِرُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ إِذْ جَائَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقُلْنَا أَلَا تَجْلِسُ قَالَ لَا وَلَکِنْ أَدْخُلُ فَأُخْرِجُ إِلَيْکُمْ صَاحِبَکُمْ وَإِلَّا جِئْتُ أَنَا فَجَلَسْتُ فَخَرَجَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ فَقَامَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنِّي أَخْبَرُ بِمَکَانِکُمْ وَلَکِنَّهُ يَمْنَعُنِي مِنْ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَيْکُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَتَخَوَّلُنَا بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ فِي الْأَيَّامِ کَرَاهِيَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا

Narrated Shaqiq: While we were waiting for `Abdullah (bin Mas`ud). Yazid bin Muawiya came. I said (to him), "Will you sit down?" He said, "No, but I will go into the house (of Ibn Mas`ud) and let your companion (Ibn Mas`ud) come out to you; and if he should not (come out), I will come out and sit (with you)." Then `Abdullah came out, holding the hand of Yazid, addressed us, saying, "I know that you are assembled here, but the reason that prevents me from coming out to you, is that Allah's Apostle used to preach to us at intervals during the days, lest we should become bored."

فَجَلَسْتُ فَخَرَجَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ فَقَامَ عَلَيْنَا ← لَا وَلَکِنْ أَدْخُلُ فَأُخْرِجُ إِلَيْکُمْ صَاحِبَکُمْ وَإِلَّا جِئْتُ ← کُنَّا نَنْتَظِرُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ إِذْ جَائَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقُلْنَا أَلَا تَجْلِسُ ← شَقِيقٍ، ← الْاَعْمَشِ ← أَبِي ← عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ،

حَدَّثَنَا الْمَکِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِعْمَتَانِ مَغْبُونٌ فِيهِمَا کَثِيرٌ مِنْ النَّاسِ الصِّحَّةُ وَالْفَرَاغُ قَالَ عَبَّاسٌ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَی عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, "There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good."

ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ← أَبِيهِ ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ← الْمَکِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَأَصْلِحْ الْأَنْصَارَ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "O Allah! There is no life worth living except the life of the Hereafter, so (please) make righteous the Ansar and the Emigrants."

اللَّهُمَّ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَأَصْلِحْ الْأَنْصَارَ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ ← النَّبِيِّ ← أَنَسٍ، ← مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ← شُعْبَةُ، ← غُنْدَرٌ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ کُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْخَنْدَقِ وَهُوَ يَحْفِرُ وَنَحْنُ نَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ وَيَمُرُّ بِنَا فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d As-Sa`idi: We were in the company of Allah's Apostle in (the battle of) Al-Khandaq, and he was digging the trench while we were carrying the earth away. He looked at us and said, "O Allah! There is no life worth living except the life of the Hereafter, so (please) forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants."

أَبُو حَازِمٍ ← الْفُضَیْلُ بْنُ سُلَیْمَانَ ← أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَهْلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَوْضِعُ سَوْطٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

Narrated Sahl: I heard the Prophet saying, "A (small) place equal to an area occupied by a whip in Paradise is better than the (whole) world and whatever is in it; and an undertaking (journey) in the forenoon or in the afternoon for Allah's Cause, is better than the whole world and whatever is in it."

النَّبِيِّ ← سَهْلٍ ← أَبِيهِ ← عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ← عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو المُنْذِرِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَنْکِبِي فَقَالَ کُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا کَأَنَّکَ غَرِيبٌ أَوْ عَابِرُ سَبِيلٍ وَکَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ فَلَا تَنْتَظِرْ الصَّبَاحَ وَإِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ فَلَا تَنْتَظِرْ الْمَسَائَ وَخُذْ مِنْ صِحَّتِکَ لِمَرَضِکَ وَمِنْ حَيَاتِکَ لِمَوْتِکَ

Narrated Mujahid: `Abdullah bin `Umar said, "Allah's Apostle took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler." The sub-narrator added: Ibn `Umar used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death."

«‏‏‏‏كن في الدنيا كانك غريب او عابر سبيل» وكان ابن عمر ← أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِمَنْکِبِي ← عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ← مُجَاهِدٍ ← سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو المُنْذِرِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ← عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ،
