1 - حدثنا أبو بكر أحمد بن هشام الأنماطي بالبصرة قال: حدثنا أحمد بن أبي العوام الرياحي [ص:58] قال حدثنا أبي قال: حدثنا عبدالله بن عبد الرحمن الثغري قال: حدثنا عَطَاء الخرساني عن أبي هريرة [ص:59] رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إن الله تبارك وتعالى أوحى إلي أن أزوج كريمتي عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه". قال الشيخ: وصدق صلى الله عليه وسلم، بذلك أخبرنا الله تعالى عنه حيث يقول: {وما ينطق عن الهوى* إن هو إلا وحي يوحى}. فأخبرنا الله تعالى أنه كان معصوما من الهوى، فلا يقول ولا يفعل، ولا يأمر ولا ينهى إلا بوحي الله وأمره وإذنه.

3 - حدثنا أبو القاسم عبدالله بن محمد بن عبد العزيز قال: حدثني الخليل بن عمرو البغوي قال: حدثنا محمد بن [ص:67] سلمة الحراني عن أبي عبد الرحيم عن زيد بن أبي أنيسة [ص:68] عن محمد بن عبدالله عن المطلب عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه [ص:69] قال دخلت على رقية بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم امرأة عثمان وفي يدها مشط فقالت خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من عندي آنفا رجلت رأسه فقال لي كيف تجدين أبا عبدالله قلت كخير الرجال قال أكرميه فإنه من أشبه أصحابي بي خلقا

4 - حدثنا أبو القاسم قال: حدثنا طالوت بن عباد قال: حدثنا أبو هلال عن قتادة عن عبدالله [ص:73] بن شقيق عن مرة البهزي أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال [ص:74] إنها ستكون فتن كأنها صياصي بقر فمر بنا رجل متقنع فقال هذا وأصحابه على الحق فذهبت فنظرت إليه فإذا هو عثمان بن عفان رحمه الله

5 - حدثنا أبو محمد الحسن بن علي بن زيد العسكري قال: حدثنا أبو حفص عمرو بن علي حدثنا المنهال بن بحر وكان ثقة قال: حدثنا حماد بن [ص:81] سلمة عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة [ص:82] رضي الله عنها أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وجد يوما ألما فأرسل إلى عثمان بن عفان فسمعته يقول إن الله سيقمصك بقميص فإن أرادوك على خلعه فلا تخلعه قيل لها فأين كنت لم تذكري هذا قالت نسيته. قال الشيخ: فلم تكن بيعته رضي الله عنه إلا بعد اجتهاد رأي الصحابة، من المهاجرين والأنصار، من السابقين الأولين، وغيرهم من الآخرين، واجتماع كلمتهم واتفاقهم كلهم على فضله وإمامته واستخلافه. قال عبدالله بن مسعود رحمه الله حين قتل عمر [ص:83] رحمه الله: "أمّرْنَا خَيْر من بقي ولم نألُ".

7 - حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن القاسم بن بشار النحوي قال: حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن النضر قال: حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو قال: حدثنا [ص:89] زائدة عن الأعمش عن شقيق قال لما قتل عمر [ص:90] سار عبدالله من المدينة إلى الكوفة سبعا ثم خطبنا فقال إن أمير المؤمنين طعنه أبو لؤلؤة عبد المغيرة بن شعبة وهو في صلاة الصبح فقتله ثم بكا وبكا الناس وقال ثم اجتمعنا أصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم فأمَّرنا خيرنا ذا فوق يعني عثمان قال أبوبكر، قال أهل اللغة: "خيرنا ذا فوق" معناه، [ص:91] خيرنا سهماً في الخير والفضل والسابقة في الإسلام، والفوق الموضع الذي يقع في الوتر من السهم. قال أبوبكر: وأنشدنا، أحمد بن يحيى للأحوص [ص:92] ابن محمد:، ومن ذا يردُّ السهم بعد مضائه ... على فوقه إن عاد من نزع نابل

9 - حدثنا محمد بن بكر قال: حدثنا أبو داود, وحدثني أبو صالح قال: حدثنا أبو الأحوص [ص:96] قالا حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال: أخبرنا عاصم بن بهدلة عن أبي وائل أن عبدالله بن مسعود سار من المدينة إلى الكوفة ثمانيا حين قتل عمر رحمه الله فحمد الله وأثنى عليه ثم قال أيها الناس إن أمير المؤمنين قد مات فلم ير يوما أكثر [ص:97] نشيجا من ذلك اليوم ثم إنا اجتمعنا أصحاب محمد فلم نأل عن خيرنا ذا فوق فبايعنا عثمان بن عفان فبايعوه فبايعه الناس
