حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ح و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَمِنْبَرِي عَلَی حَوْضِي

Abdullah b. Zaid al-Ansari heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: That which exists between my pulpit and my house is a garden from the gardens of Paradise.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَی عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوکَ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلْنَا حَتَّی قَدِمْنَا وَادِي الْقُرَی فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي مُسْرِعٌ فَمَنْ شَائَ مِنْکُمْ فَلْيُسْرِعْ مَعِي وَمَنْ شَائَ فَلْيَمْکُثْ فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّی أَشْرَفْنَا عَلَی الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ طَابَةُ وَهَذَا أُحُدٌ وَهُوَ جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: That which exists between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is upon my cistern.

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِکٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أُحُدًا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ

Abu Humaid (Allah be pleased with him) reported: We went out along with Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) in the expedition of Tabuk, and Abu Humaid further related: We proceeded until we reached the valley of Qura; and Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: I am going forth, so he among you who wants to move fast with me may do so; and he who likes to go slowly may do so. We proceeded until Medina was within our sight, and he said: This is Tabah (another name of Medina); this is Uhud, the mountain which loves us and we love it.

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَمْرٍو قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ

This hadith is narrated by Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleased with him) with another chain of transmitters (and the words are): Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) cast a glance at Uhud and said: Uhud is a mountain which loves us and we love it.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrated It directly from Allah's Apostle' ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) having said this: A prayer in my mosque is a thousand times more excellent than a prayer in any other mosque, except Masjid al-Haram (Mosque of the Ka'ba).

حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَی بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْدِيُّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَغَرِّ مَوْلَی الْجُهَنِيِّينَ وَکَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُا صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنْ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آخِرُ الْأَنْبِيَائِ وَإِنَّ مَسْجِدَهُ آخِرُ الْمَسَاجِدِ قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لَمْ نَشُکَّ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ کَانَ يَقُولُ عَنْ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَنَعَنَا ذَلِکَ أَنْ نَسْتَثْبِتَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ ذَلِکَ الْحَدِيثِ حَتَّی إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ تَذَاکَرْنَا ذَلِکَ وَتَلَاوَمْنَا أَنْ لَا نَکُونَ کَلَّمْنَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فِي ذَلِکَ حَتَّی يُسْنِدَهُ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ کَانَ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ عَلَی ذَلِکَ جَالَسَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ فَذَکَرْنَا ذَلِکَ الْحَدِيثَ وَالَّذِي فَرَّطْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ نَصِّ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِنِّي آخِرُ الْأَنْبِيَائِ وَإِنَّ مَسْجِدِي آخِرُ الْمَسَاجِدِ

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Prayer in my mosque is more excellent than a thousand prayers observed in other mosques except the Masjid al- Haram.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَی بْنَ سَعِيدٍ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَذْکُرُ فَضْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَا وَلَکِنْ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ أَوْ کَأَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنْ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَکُونَ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Prayer in the mosque of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) is more excellent than a thousand prayers in other mosques except the Masjid al-Haram, for Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) is the last of the Apostles, and his mosque is the last of the mosques. Abu Salama and Abu Abdullah (two of the narrators in this chain of narrations said: We had no doubt that what Abu Haraira (Allah be pleased with him) had said was from Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), and so we did not like to get an attestation from Abu Huraira about this hadith until Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) died. We discussed it (the issue of getting attestation from Abu Huraira) amongst ourselves and blamed one another as to why we did not talk about it to Abu Huraira regarding it so that he could attribute its transmission to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) in case he had heard It from him. While we were discussing it as we sat with 'Abdullah b. Ibrahlm b. Qariz; we made a mention of this hadith, and our omission (in getting its attestation) about its direct transmission by Abu Huraira from him (the Holy Proohet) ; thereupon Abdullah b. Ibrahim said to us: I bear witness to the fact that I heard Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) say that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: I am the last of the Apostles and my mosque is the last of the mosques.

أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ أَنَّهُ ← أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَذْکُرُ فَضْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ لَا وَلَکِنْ ← سَأَلْتُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ هَلْ ← يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ← عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، ← ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّی ← الثَّقَفِيُّ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ جَمِيعًا

Yahya b. Sa'id (Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said to Abu Salih: Did you hear Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) making a mention of the excellence of prayer in the mosque of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ )? He said: No (I did not hear directly from Abu Huraira), but I heard Abdullah b. Ibrahlm b. Qariz; say that' he had heard from Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had said: Prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers. or. is like one thousand prayers observed in other mosques besides It, except that it be in al-Masjid al-Haram.

و حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی وَهُوَ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ

This hadith has been narrated by Yabya b. Sa'id with the same chain of transmitters.

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers (observed in other mosque.) besides it, except that of Masjid al-Haram.

و حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَی أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ مُوسَی الْجُهَنِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ
