حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ح و حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَطَائٍ کِلَاهُمَا عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ کَذَبْتَ قَدْ سُئِلْتَ مَا هُوَ أَيْسَرُ مِنْ ذَلِکَ

Anas reported this hadlth through another chain of transmitters and the words are: It would be said to him: You have told a lie; what had been demanded from you was quite easier than this (the belief in the Oneness of Allah).

فَيُقَالُ لَهُ کَذَبْتَ قَدْ سُئِلْتَ مَا هُوَ أَيْسَرُ مِنْ ذَلِکَ ← النَّبِيِّ بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ ← أَنَسٍ، ← قَتَادَةَ ← سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، ← عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَطَائٍ کِلَاهُمَا ← عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ ← و، ← رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ← عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ

حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ کَيْفَ يُحْشَرُ الْکَافِرُ عَلَی وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ الَّذِي أَمْشَاهُ عَلَی رِجْلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا قَادِرًا عَلَی أَنْ يُمْشِيَهُ عَلَی وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ بَلَی وَعِزَّةِ رَبِّنَا

Anas b. Malik reported that a person said: Allah's Messenger, how the non-believers be made to assemble on the Day of Resurrection (by crawling) on their faces? Thereupon he said: Is He Who is powerful to make them walk on their feet not powerful enough to make them (crawl) upon their faces on the Day of Resurrection? Qatada said: Of course, it is so. (He adjured): By the might of our Lord.

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤْتَى بِأَنْعَمِ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيُصْبَغُ فِي النَّارِ صَبْغَةً ثُمَّ يُقَالُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ هَلْ مَرَّ بِكَ نَعِيمٌ قَطُّ فَيَقُولُ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَبِّ وَيُؤْتَى بِأَشَدِّ النَّاسِ بُؤْسًا فِي الدُّنْيَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُصْبَغُ صَبْغَةً فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ بُؤْسًا قَطُّ هَلْ مَرَّ بِكَ شِدَّةٌ قَطُّ فَيَقُولُ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَبِّ مَا مَرَّ بِي بُؤْسٌ قَطُّ وَلَا رَأَيْتُ شِدَّةً قَطُّ

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said that one amongst the denizens of Hell who had led a life of ease and plenty amongst the people of the world would be made to dip in Fire only once on the Day of Resurrection and then it would be said to him: O, son of Adam, did you find any comfort, did you happen to get any material blessing? He would say: By Allah, no, my Lord. And then that person from amongst the persons of the world be brought who had led the most miserable life (in the world) from amongst the inmates of Paradise. and he would be made to dip once in Paradise and it would be said to him. 0, son of Adam, did you face, any hardship? Or had any distress fallen to your lot? And he would say: By Allah, no,0 my Lord, never did I face any hardship or experience any distress.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَی عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مُؤْمِنًا حَسَنَةً يُعْطَی بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَيُجْزَی بِهَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَأَمَّا الْکَافِرُ فَيُطْعَمُ بِحَسَنَاتِ مَا عَمِلَ بِهَا لِلَّهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّی إِذَا أَفْضَی إِلَی الْآخِرَةِ لَمْ تَکُنْ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ يُجْزَی بِهَا

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Verily, Allah does not treat a believer unjustly in regard to his virtues. He would confer upon him (His blessing) in this world and would give him reward in the Hereafter. And as regards a non-believer, he would be made to taste the reward (of virtue in this world) what he has done for himself so much that when it would be the Hereafter, he would find no virtue for which he should be rewarded.

حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ التَّيْمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْکَافِرَ إِذَا عَمِلَ حَسَنَةً أُطْعِمَ بِهَا طُعْمَةً مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَدَّخِرُ لَهُ حَسَنَاتِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَيُعْقِبُهُ رِزْقًا فِي الدُّنْيَا عَلَی طَاعَتِهِ

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) thus told him: When a non-believer does good he is made to taste Its reward in this world. And so far as the believer is concerned, Allah stores (the reward) of his virtues for the Hereafter and provides him sustenance in accordance with his obedience to Him.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik through another chain of transmitters.

و حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ سَمَّاهُ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ يَقَولُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَکْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِّمْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ دُعَائً أَدْعُو بِهِ فِي صَلَاتِي وَفِي بَيْتِي ثُمَّ ذَکَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ظُلْمًا کَثِيرًا

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of 'Amr b. al-'As that Abu Bakr Siddiq said to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) Allah's Messenger, teach me a supplication which I should make in my prayer and in my house. The rest of the hadith is the same except with this variation that he said: Much wrong (Zulman Kathira).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو کُرَيْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي بَکْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلَائِ الدَّعَوَاتِ اللَّهُمَّ فَإِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ النَّارِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَفِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْغِنَی وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْفَقْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْ خَطَايَايَ بِمَائِ الثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّ قَلْبِي مِنْ الْخَطَايَا کَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنْ الدَّنَسِ وَبَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ کَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ اللَّهُمَّ فَإِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ الْکَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ

A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) used to make these supplications: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of Hell-Fire; and from the torment of Hell-Fire; and from the trial of the grave and torment of the grave; and from the evil of the trial of the affluence and from the evil of the trial of poverty and I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of the turmoil of the Dajjal. O Allah, wash away my sins with snow and hail water, purify my heart from the sins as is purified the white garment from the dirt, and keep away at a distance the sins from me as yawns the distance between the East and the West; O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from sloth, from senility, from sin, and from debt.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hisham with the same chain of transmitters.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ← اَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ، ← سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، ← ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، ← يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ

و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَی حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ کِلَاهُمَا عَنْ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ لَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَوْلُهُ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ

Anas reported from Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) (this suppli- cation) but with this variation that these words are not found in that supplication: From the trial of life and death.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَکٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ تَعَوَّذَ مِنْ أَشْيَائَ ذَکَرَهَا وَالْبُخْلِ

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) used to seek refuge in Allah from such things as mentioned in the above-mentioned hadith and from 'miserliness too.

النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهُ تَعَوَّذَ مِنْ أَشْيَائَ ذَکَرَهَا وَالْبُخْلِ ← اَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ، ← سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، ← ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ، ← أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلائِ
