حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَرَّادٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ وَأَبُو کُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ وَتَقَارَبَا فِي اللَّفْظِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَی عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أُهَاجِرُ مِنْ مَکَّةَ إِلَی أَرْضٍ بِهَا نَخْلٌ فَذَهَبَ وَهْلِي إِلَی أَنَّهَا الْيَمَامَةُ أَوْ هَجَرُ فَإِذَا هِيَ الْمَدِينَةُ يَثْرِبُ وَرَأَيْتُ فِي رُؤْيَايَ هَذِهِ أَنِّي هَزَزْتُ سَيْفًا فَانْقَطَعَ صَدْرُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَا أُصِيبَ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ثُمَّ هَزَزْتُهُ أُخْرَی فَعَادَ أَحْسَنَ مَا کَانَ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَا جَائَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْ الْفَتْحِ وَاجْتِمَاعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا أَيْضًا بَقَرًا وَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ النَّفَرُ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَإِذَا الْخَيْرُ مَا جَائَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْ الْخَيْرِ بَعْدُ وَثَوَابُ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِي آتَانَا اللَّهُ بَعْدَ يَوْمِ بَدْرٍ

Abu Musa reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: I dreamt (while asleep) that I was about to migrate from Mecca to a land abounding in palm trees and I guessed that it would be Yamama or Hajar, but it was the city of Yathrib (the old name of Medina), and I saw in this dream of mine that I was brandishing a sword and its upper end was broken and this is what fell (in the form of misfortune to the believers on the Day of Uhud). I brandished (the sword) for the second time and it became all right and this is what came to be true when Allah granted us victory and solidarity of the believers. And I saw therein cows also and Allah is the Doer of good. These meant the group from amongst the believers on the Day of Uhud and the goodness which Allah brought after that and the reward of attestation of his Truth which Allah brought to us after the Day of Badr.

اَبِیْ مُوْسیٰ ← أَبِي بُرْدَةَ جَدِّهِ ← بُرَيْدٌ ← أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ← أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ وَتَقَارَبَا فِي اللَّفْظِ ← أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَرَّادٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ مُسَيْلِمَةُ الْکَذَّابُ عَلَی عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ إِنْ جَعَلَ لِي مُحَمَّدٌ الْأَمْرَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ تَبِعْتُهُ فَقَدِمَهَا فِي بَشَرٍ کَثِيرٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ فَأَقْبَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ وَفِي يَدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِطْعَةُ جَرِيدَةٍ حَتَّی وَقَفَ عَلَی مُسَيْلِمَةَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ لَوْ سَأَلْتَنِي هَذِهِ الْقِطْعَةَ مَا أَعْطَيْتُکَهَا وَلَنْ أَتَعَدَّی أَمْرَ اللَّهِ فِيکَ وَلَئِنْ أَدْبَرْتَ لَيَعْقِرَنَّکَ اللَّهُ وَإِنِّي لَأُرَاکَ الَّذِي أُرِيتُ فِيکَ مَا أُرِيتُ وَهَذَا ثَابِتٌ يُجِيبُکَ عَنِّي ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّکَ أَرَی الَّذِي أُرِيتُ فِيکَ مَا أُرِيتُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُ فِي يَدَيَّ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَأَهَمَّنِي شَأْنُهُمَا فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنْ انْفُخْهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَطَارَا فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا کَذَّابَيْنِ يَخْرُجَانِ مِنْ بَعْدِي فَکَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَنْسِيَّ صَاحِبَ صَنْعَائَ وَالْآخَرُ مُسَيْلِمَةَ صَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ

Ibn `Abbas reported that Musailima al-Kadhdhab (the greater liar) (who claimed prophethood after the death of the Holy Prophet) came during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) to Medina and said: If Muhammad assigns his caliphate to me after him I would follow him, and there came along with him a large body of persons of his tribe, and there came to him Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) along with Thabit b. Qais b. Shammas and the Prophet of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had a piece of wood in his hand until he came in front of Musailima in the company of his companions and said: If you were to ask even this (wood), I would never give it to you. I am not going to do anything against the will of God in your case, and if you turn away (from what I say) Allah will destroy you. And I find you in the same state which I was shown (in the dream) and here is Thabit and he would answer you on my behalf. He (the Holy Prophet) then went back. Ibn `Abbas said: I asked the (meaning of the) words of Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ): You are the same what I was made to see about you in my dream. and Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: While I was sleeping I saw in my hands two gold bangles. This had a disturbing effect upon me and I was given a suggestion in the sleep that I should blow over them, so I blew over them and they were no more. And I interpreted these (two bangles) as the two great liars who would appear after me and the one amongst them was Al-`Anasi the inhabitant of San`a' and the other one Musailima the inhabitant of Yamama.

و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَالَ هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَکَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ أُتِيتُ خَزَائِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَوَضَعَ فِي يَدَيَّ أُسْوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَکَبُرَا عَلَيَّ وَأَهَمَّانِي فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ انْفُخْهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَذَهَبَا فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا الْکَذَّابَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ أَنَا بَيْنَهُمَا صَاحِبَ صَنْعَائَ وَصَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: While I was sleeping, the treasures of the earth were presented to me and I was made to wear in my hands two gold bangles. I felt a sort of burden upon me and I was disturbed and it was suggested to me that I should blow over them, so I blew and both of them disappeared. I interpreted them as two great liars who would appear at any time, one is the inhabitant of San`a' and the other is that of Yamama.

أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا، ← أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ← ھٰذَا مَا ← هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ← مَعْمَرٌ، ← عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، ← و،

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِي رَجَائٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ قَالَ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّی الصُّبْحَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ هَلْ رَأَی أَحَدٌ مِنْکُمْ الْبَارِحَةَ رُؤْيَا

Samura b. Jundab reported that when Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had performed his dawn prayer he turned his face towards them (that is towards his Companions) and said: Did any one of you see any vision last night?

هَلْ رَأَی أَحَدٌ مِنْکُمْ الْبَارِحَةَ رُؤْيَا ← کَانَ النَّبِيُّ إِذَا صَلَّی الصُّبْحَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَجْهِهِ ← سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ← أَبِي رَجَائٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ ← أَبِي ← وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ الرَّازِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْمٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ ابْنُ مِهْرَانَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ شَدَّادٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَی کِنَانَةَ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَعِيلَ وَاصْطَفَی قُرَيْشًا مِنْ کِنَانَةَ وَاصْطَفَی مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَاصْطَفَانِي مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ

Wathila b. al-Asqa' reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Verily Allah granted eminence to Kinana from amongst the descendants of Isma'il, and he granted eminence to the Quraish amongst Kinana, and he granted eminence to Banu Hashim amonsgst the Quraish, and he granted me eminence from the tribe of Banu Hashim.

رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ← وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُا ← أَبِي عَمَّارٍ شَدَّادٍ أَنَّهُ ← الْاَوْزَاعِیُّ ← الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ← ابْنُ مِهْرَانَ ← الْوَلِیْدُ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ الرَّازِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْمٍ جَمِيعًا

و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ أَبِي بُکَيْرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاکُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ حَجَرًا بِمَکَّةَ کَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ أُبْعَثَ إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُهُ الْآنَ

Jabir b. Samura reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: I recognise the stone in Mecca which used to pay me salutations before my advent as a Prophet and I recognise that even now.

جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ ← سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ← إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، ← يَحْيَی بْنُ أَبِي بُکَيْرٍ ← أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ← و،

حَدَّثَنِي الْحَکَمُ بْنُ مُوسَی أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِقْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زِيَادٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا سَيِّدُ وَلَدِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يَنْشَقُّ عَنْهُ الْقَبْرُ وَأَوَّلُ شَافِعٍ وَأَوَّلُ مُشَفَّعٍ

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: I shall be pre-eminent amongst the descendants of Adam on the Day of Resurrection and I will be the first intercessor and the first whose intercession will be accepted (by Allah).

أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ ← أَبُو عَمَّارٍ، ← الْاَوْزَاعِیُّ ← هِقْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زِيَادٍ ← الْحَکَمُ بْنُ مُوسَی أَبُو صَالِحٍ

و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَکِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَا بِمَائٍ فَأُتِيَ بِقَدَحٍ رَحْرَاحٍ فَجَعَلَ الْقَوْمُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ فَحَزَرْتُ مَا بَيْنَ السِّتِّينَ إِلَی الثَّمَانِينَ قَالَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَی الْمَائِ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِهِ

Anas reported that Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) called for water and he was given a vessel and the people began to perform ablution in that and I counted (the persons) and they were between fifty and eighty and I saw water which was spouting from his fingers.

أَنَسٍ، ← ثَابِتٍ، ← حَمَّادٌ -يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ-، ← أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَکِيُّ ← و،

و حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مُوسَی الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِکٌ ح و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ مَالِکِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ إِسْحَقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحَانَتْ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ فَالْتَمَسَ النَّاسُ الْوَضُوئَ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوهُ فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوَضُوئٍ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِکَ الْإِنَائِ يَدَهُ وَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهُ قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَائَ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَصَابِعِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ النَّاسُ حَتَّی تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ

Anas b. Malik reported: I saw Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) during the time of the afternoon prayer and the people asking for water for performing ablution which they did not find. (A small quantity) of water was brought to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and he placed his hand in that vessel and commanded people to perform ablution. I saw water spouting from his fingers and the people performing ablution until the last amongst them performed it.

أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ ← إِسْحَقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ← مالک بن أنس ← ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ← أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ← و، ← مَالِكٍ، ← مَعْنٌ ← إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مُوسَی الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ← و،

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابَهُ بِالزَّوْرَائِ قَالَ وَالزَّوْرَائُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عِنْدَ السُّوقِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ فِيمَا ثَمَّهْ دَعَا بِقَدَحٍ فِيهِ مَائٌ فَوَضَعَ کَفَّهُ فِيهِ فَجَعَلَ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ جَمِيعُ أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ کَمْ کَانُوا يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ قَالَ کَانُوا زُهَائَ الثَّلَاثِ مِائَةِ

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and his Companions were at a place known as az-Zaura' (az-Zaurd' is a place in the bazar of Medina near the mosque) that he called for a vessel containing water. He put his hand in that. And there began to spout (water) between his fingers and all the Companions performed ablution. Qatada, one of the narrators in the chain of narrators, said: Abu Hamza (the kunya of Hadrat Anas b. Malik), how many people were they? He said: They were about three hundred.

اَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ، ← قَتَادَةَ ← أَبِي ← مُعَاذٌ -يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ-، ← أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ

و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ بِالزَّوْرَائِ فَأُتِيَ بِإِنَائِ مَائٍ لَا يَغْمُرُ أَصَابِعَهُ أَوْ قَدْرَ مَا يُوَارِي أَصَابِعَهُ ثُمَّ ذَکَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ هِشَامٍ

Anas reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) was at az-Zaura' and a vessel containing water was brought to him in which his finger could not be completely dipped or completely covered; the rest of the hadith is the same.

و حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ أُمَّ مَالِکٍ کَانَتْ تُهْدِي لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي عُکَّةٍ لَهَا سَمْنًا فَيَأْتِيهَا بَنُوهَا فَيَسْأَلُونَ الْأُدْمَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُمْ شَيْئٌ فَتَعْمِدُ إِلَی الَّذِي کَانَتْ تُهْدِي فِيهِ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَجِدُ فِيهِ سَمْنًا فَمَا زَالَ يُقِيمُ لَهَا أُدْمَ بَيْتِهَا حَتَّی عَصَرَتْهُ فَأَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ عَصَرْتِيهَا قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ لَوْ تَرَکْتِيهَا مَا زَالَ قَائِمًا

Jabir reported that Umm Malik used to send clarified butter in a small skin to the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ). Her sons would come to her and ask for seasoning when they had nothing with them (in the form of condiments) and she would go to that (skin) in which she offered (clarified butter) to Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), and she would find in that clarified butter and it kept providing her with seasoning for her household until she had (completely) squeezed it. She came to Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and (informed him about it). Thereupon, he (the Holy Prophet) said: Did you squeeze it? She said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If you had left it in that very state, it would have kept on provid- ing you (the clarified butter) on end.
