أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ کُرَيْبٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ اغْتَسَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ فَغَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ وَدَلَکَ يَدَهُ بِالْأَرْضِ أَوْ الْحَائِطِ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوئَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَی رَأْسِهِ وَسَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ

It was narrated that Maimunah,the wife of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم performed Ghusl from Janabah; he washed his private part then rubbed his hand on the ground or the wall, then he performed Wuduas for prayer, then he poured water over his head and the rest of his body.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ أَتَيْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ وَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّی إِذَا أَتَی ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلَدَتْ أَسْمَائُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي بَکْرٍ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ اغْتَسِلِي ثُمَّ اسْتَثْفِرِي ثُمَّ أَهِلِّي

Ja’far bin Muhammad said: “My father told me: ‘We came to Jabir bin ‘Abdullah and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم. He narrated; “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم set out when there were five (days) remaining in Dhul Qa’dah, and we set out with him. When he came to Dhul-Hulaifah, Asma’ bint ‘Umais gave birth to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr. She sent word to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم asking what she should do. He said: ‘Perform Ghusl, bind yourself with a cloth then begin (the Talbiyah for Ihram.)'' (Sahih)

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, would not perform Wudu after Ghusl.” (Hasan)

Aishah said: “I used to put perfume on the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and he would go round to all his wives, then enter Ihram in the morning with the smell of perfume coming from him.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سَيَّارٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ وَجُعِلَتْ لِي الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا فَأَيْنَمَا أَدْرَکَ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الصَّلَاةُ يُصَلِّي وَأُعْطِيتُ الشَّفَاعَةَ وَلَمْ يُعْطَ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَی النَّاسِ کَافَّةً وَکَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُبْعَثُ إِلَی قَوْمِهِ خَاصَّةً

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘I have been given five things that were not given to anyone before me: I have been supported with fear being struck into the hearts of my enemy for a distance of one month’s travel; the earth has been made a place of prostration and a means of purification for me, so wherever a man of my Ummah is when the time for prayer comes, let him pray; I have been given the intercession which was not given to any Prophet before me; and I have been sent to all of mankind whereas the Prophets before me were sent only to their own people.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ بَکْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ عَطَائِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ تَيَمَّمَا وَصَلَّيَا ثُمَّ وَجَدَا مَائً فِي الْوَقْتِ فَتَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُهُمَا وَعَادَ لِصَلَاتِهِ مَا کَانَ فِي الْوَقْتِ وَلَمْ يُعِدْ الْآخَرُ فَسَأَلَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِلَّذِي لَمْ يُعِدْ أَصَبْتَ السُّنَّةَ وَأَجْزَأَتْکَ صَلَاتُکَ وَقَالَ لِلْآخَرِ أَمَّا أَنْتَ فَلَکَ مِثْلُ سَهْمِ جَمْعٍ

It was narrated from Abu Saeed that two men performed Tayammum and prayed, then they found water when there was still time left for that prayer. One of them performed Wudu’ and repeated the prayer, and the other did not. They asked the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم about that and he said to the one who did not repeat the prayer: “You followed the Sunnah and your prayer is acceptable.” And he said to the other: “And you will have something like the reward of two prayers.” (Hasan)

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَنَّ مُخَارِقًا أَخْبَرَهُمْ عَنْ طَارِقٍ أَنْ رَجُلًا أَجْنَبَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَصَبْتَ فَأَجْنَبَ رَجُلٌ آخَرَ فَتَيَمَّمَ وَصَلَّى فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ نَحْوَ مَا قَالَ لِلْآخَرِ يَعْنِي أَصَبْتَ

It was narrated from Tariq bin Shihab that a man became Junub and did not pray. He came to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and told him about that, and he said: “You did the right thing.” Then another man became Junub so he performed Tayammum and prayed. He came (to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) who said to him what he had said to the other man — meaning, “You did the right thing.” (Sahih)

لِلْآخَرِ يَعْنِي أَصَبْتَ ← نَحْوَ مَا ← أَصَبْتَ فَأَجْنَبَ رَجُلٌ آخَرَ فَتَيَمَّمَ وَصَلَّی فَأَتَاهُ ← ذَلِكَ لَهُ، ← طَارِقٍ أَنْ رَجُلًا أَجْنَبَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فَأَتَی النَّبِيَّ ← شُعْبَةُ أَنَّ مُخَارِقًا ← خَالِدٌ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ تَذَاکَرَ عَلِيٌّ وَالْمِقْدَادُ وَعَمَّارٌ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ مَذَّائٌ وَإِنِّي أَسْتَحِي أَنْ أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَکَانِ ابْنَتِهِ مِنِّي فَيَسْأَلُهُ أَحَدُکُمَا فَذَکَرَ لِي أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمَا وَنَسِيتُهُ سَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاکَ الْمَذْيُ إِذَا وَجَدَهُ أَحَدُکُمْ فَلْيَغْسِلْ ذَلِکَ مِنْهُ وَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوئَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ أَوْ کَوُضُوئِ الصَّلَاةِ الِاخْتِلَافُ عَلَی سُلَيْمَانَ

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “Ali, Al-Miqdad and ‘Ammar were talking. ‘Ali said: ‘I am a man who emits a lot of Madhi but I am too shy to ask the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم about that because if his daughter’s position with me, so let one of you ask him.’ He told me that one of them but I forgot who — asked him, and the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘That is Madhi. If any one of you notices that, let him wash it off himself and perform Wudu’ as for prayer or similar to the Wudu of prayer.” (Sahih)

It was narrated that ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “I was a man who emitted a great deal of Madhi. I told a man to ask the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (about that) and he said: ‘Wudu’(is required) for that.” (Sahih)

It was narrated that ‘Ali said: “I felt too shy to ask the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم about Mad because of Fatimah, so I told Al-Miqdad to ask him, and he said: ‘Wudu’ (is required) for that.” (Sahih)

فِيهِ الْوُضُوئُ الِاخْتِلَافُ عَلَی بُکَيْرٍ ← الْمَذْيِ مِنْ أَجْلِ فَاطِمَةَ فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ ← اسْتَحْيَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ← عَلِيٍّ، ← محمد بن علي ← مُنْذِرًا ← سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ ← شُعْبَةُ، ← خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَی عَنْ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ وَذَکَرَ کَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُکَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَرْسَلْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ الْمَذْيِ فَقَالَ تَوَضَّأْ وَانْضَحْ فَرْجَکَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ مَخْرَمَةُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ شَيْئًا

‘Ali said: “I sent Al-Miqdad to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم to ask him about Madhil, and he said: ‘Perform Wudu’ and sprinkle water over your private part.” (Sahih) Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman said: Makhramah (one of the narrators) did not hear anything from his father.
