1846 - أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله الحافظ أنا الحسن بن محمد بن إسحاق الإسفرايني ثنا أبو عثمان الحناط قال : سمعت السري يقول : سمعت بعض الحكماء يقول : ويل للقائلين بالحق العاملين بالباطل الذين قالوا الحسنات و عملوا السيئات كيف ( ) قولهم إذا خالفوا أمر الله و نزل بأعمالهم منازل المجرمين

1847 - أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله ثنا الحسن ثنا أبو عثمان قال : سمعت الحسن بن عيسى مولى ابن المبارك يقول : سمعت ابن المبارك يقول : أما الناس العلماء و الملوك الزهاد و السفلة الذي يأكل بدينه أموال الناس بالباطل ثم قرأ : { يا أيها الذين آمنوا إن كثيرا من الأحبار والرهبان ليأكلون أموال الناس بالباطل } قال : يأكلون الدنيا بالدين قال : فبكى فضيل بن عياض بكاء شديد ثم قال : كذب من قال أنه لا يأكل بدينه أنا و الله آكل بديني
