5065 - حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن منصور السني الأديب البيهقي نا الإمام أبو سهل محمد بن سليمان نا أبو محمد الدستوائي أنا أبو العباس محمد بن يزيد حدثني يوسف بن تميم حدثني الصلت بن مسعود الحجازي نا أحمد بن سويه نا سليمان أبو صالح عن مبارك عن أبي بكر بن عياش قال : اجتمعت أربعة ملوك ملك الروم وملك فارس وملك الصين وملك الهند فتكلموا بأربع كلمات كأنهمم رموها عن قوس واحد قال ملك الروم : إذا قلت الكلمة ملكتني وإذا لم أقلها ملكتها وقال ملك فارس : أنا على ما لم أقل أقدر مني على ما قلت وقال الثالث : أنا لم أندم على ما لم أقل وقد ندمت على ما قلت كثيرا وقال الرابع : عجبت لمن يتكلم بالكلمة إن وقفت عليه ضرته وإن تجاوزته لم تنفعه

5066 - أخبرنا أبو القاسم طلحة بن علي بن الصقر ببغداد نا شاكر بن عبد الله المصيصي نا عمران بن موسى قال : سمعت أحمد بن الحسن قال : سمعت أبا العتاهية ينشد هذه الأبيات : ( إن كان يعجبك السكوت فإنه قد كان يعجب قبلك الأخيارا ) ( و لئن ندمت على سكوتك مرة فلقد ندمت على الكلام مرارا ) ( و إن السكوت سلامة و لربما زرع الكلام عداوة و ضرارا ) ( و إذا تقرب خاسر من خاسر زاد بذلك خسارة و تبارا )

5072 - و أخبرنا أبو عبد الرحمن السلمي أنا أبو الحسن الكارزي أنا علي بن عبد العزيز عن علي عن أبي عبيد قال : سمعت أبا النضر يحدث عن شيبان عن آدم بن علي قال : سمعت أخا بلال مؤذن رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول : الناس ثلاث أقسام فسالم و غانم و شاجب فالسالم الساكت و الغانم الذي يأمر بالخير و ينهي عن المنكر و الشاجب الناطق بالخنا و المعين على الظلم قال أبو عبيد هكذا في الحديث و الشاجب الإثم الهالك و هو يرجع إلى هذا
