حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْعَلَائِ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَنْ شَائَ لَاعَنْتُهُ لَأُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةُ النِّسَائِ الْقُصْرَی بَعْدَ الْأَرْبَعَةِ الْأَشْهُرِ وَعَشْرًا

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: I can invoke the curse of Allah on anyone who wishes: The smaller surat an-Nisa (i. e. Surat at-Talaq) was revealed after the verse regarding the waiting period of four months and ten days had been revealed.

مَنْ شَائَ لَاعَنْتُهُ لَأُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةُ النِّسَائِ الْقُصْرَی بَعْدَ الْأَرْبَعَةِ الْأَشْهُرِ وَعَشْرًا ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ← مَسْرُوقٍ ← مُّسْلِمٍ ← الْاَعْمَشِ ← أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ← وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْعَلَائِ ← عُثْمَانَ، ← عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ ح و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَی عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنْ رَجَائِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ لَا تُلَبِّسُوا عَلَيْنَا سُنَّةً قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّی سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّنَا صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِدَّةُ الْمُتَوَفَّی عَنْهَا أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرٌ يَعْنِي أُمَّ الْوَلَدِ

Narrated Amr ibn al-As: Do not confuse us about his Sunnah. Ibn al-Muthanna said: The Sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ is that the waiting period of a slave-mother whose husband has died is four months and ten days.

لَا تُلَبِّسُوا عَلَيْنَا سُنَّةً ← عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ← قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ: ← رَجَائِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ ← مَطَرٍ، ← سَعِيدٌ، ← عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ← ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّی ← و، ← قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ يَعْنِي ثَلَاثًا فَتَزَوَّجَتْ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَدَخَلَ بِهَا ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوَاقِعَهَا أَتَحِلُّ لِزَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ قَالَتْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَحِلُّ لِلْأَوَّلِ حَتَّی تَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَةَ الْآخَرِ وَيَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهَا

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, and she married another who entered upon her, but divorced her before having intercourse with her, whether she was lawful for the former husband. She said: The Prophet ﷺ replied: She is not lawful for the first (husband) until she tastes the honey of the other husband and he tastes her honey.

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ← عَائِشَةَ ← الْأَسْوَدِ، ← إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ← الْاَعْمَشِ ← أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ← مُسَدَّدٌ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ کَثِيرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ قَالَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَکَ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ قَالَ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَکَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَأْکُلَ مَعَکَ قَالَ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ قَالَ أَنْ تُزَانِيَ حَلِيلَةَ جَارِکَ قَالَ وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَی تَصْدِيقَ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ الْآيَةَ

Abd Allaah (bin Masud) said “I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ which sin is the gravest?” He replied “That you associate someone with Allaah, while He has created you”. I again asked “Which then?” He replied “That you commit adultery with the wife of your neighbor. ” Allaah then revealed the following Quranic verse in support of the statement of the Prophet ﷺ “Those who invoke not with Allaah any other god nor slay such life as Allaah has made sacred except for just cause nor commit fornication. ”

قُلْتُ ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ← عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، ← أَبِي وَائِلٍ ← مَنْصُورٌ، ← سُفْيَانَ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ جَائَتْ مِسْکِينَةٌ لِبَعْضِ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ سَيِّدِي يُکْرِهُنِي عَلَی الْبِغَائِ فَنَزَلَ فِي ذَلِکَ وَلَا تُکْرِهُوا فَتَيَاتِکُمْ عَلَی الْبِغَائِ

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: Musaykah, a slave-girl of some Ansari, came and said: My master forces me to commit fornication. Thereupon the following verse was revealed: "But force not your maids to prostitution (when they desire chastity). "

جَائَتْ مِسْکِينَةٌ لِبَعْضِ الْأَنْصَارِ ← جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: ← أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ ← ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، ← حجاج، ← أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَمَنْ يُکْرِهُّنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِکْرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ قَالَ قَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ غَفُورٌ لَهُنَّ الْمُکْرَهَاتِ

Mu’tamir reported on the authority of his father Saeed bin Al Hassan explain the Quranic verse “But if anyone compels them, yet after such compulsion is Allaah oft-forgiving most merciful (to them), said Allaah is oft-forgiving to those (slave girls) who were compelled (to prostitution)

سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ غَفُورٌ لَهُنَّ الْمُکْرَهَاتِ ← أَبِيهِ وَمَنْ يُکْرِهُّنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِکْرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ ← مُعْتَمِرٌ ← عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ،
