1790 - وحدثنا أبو سعيد قال قال أبو نعيم Y رأيت سفيان جاء إلى عمر بن ذر فجلس بين يديه فجعل يسأله ولا يكتب فقال له عمر بن ذر أين منزلك قال ناحية الكناسة قال لعلك سفيان بن سعيد فقام سفيان وأتبعه إلى صحراء أثير فرأيته جلس فأخرج ألواحه من حجزته فجعل يكتب قال أبو نعيم فقيل لسفيان يعني بعد ما مات بن ذر قال ليس في الموت شماتة قال أبو سعيد قلت له لم يا أبا نعيم قال لأنه كان يقعد به يقول قوم يشكون في إيمانهم

1792 - حدثني أبو سعيد نا عقبة بن خالد قال Y كنا على باب عبيد الله بن عمر فجاء سفيان الثوري فجلس ناحية فلما تفرق القوم انقحم فدخل فانقحمت على أثره فجعل يسأل عبيد الله بن عمر فأخرجت ألواحا معي من خشب نحوا من ذراع فسأل عن سبعين ما كتبت منها شيئا فجعلت أقول أكتبها فما صبر أن قال لي قلب أحدهم ألواحه قلت في نفسي قل ما شئت
