حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَی بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ قَالَتْ قَالَ لِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِکٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَحْيَی بِمَ مَاتَ قُلْتُ مِنْ الطَّاعُونِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ لِکُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "He (a Muslim) who dies of an Abdominal disease is a a martyr, and he who dies of plague is a martyr."

لِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِکٍ يَحْيَی بِمَ مَاتَ قُلْتُ مِنْ الطَّاعُونِ ← عَاصِمٌ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ ← عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، ← مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ مَالِکٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمَبْطُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَالْمَطْعُونُ شَهِيدٌ

Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) that she asked Allah's Apostle about plague, and Allah's Apostle informed her saying, "Plague was a punishment which Allah used to send on whom He wished, but Allah made it a blessing for the believers. None (among the believers) remains patient in a land in which plague has broken out and considers that nothing will befall him except what Allah has ordained for him, but that Allah will grant him a reward similar to that of a martyr."

الْمَبْطُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَالْمَطْعُونُ شَهِيدٌ ← النَّبِيِّ ← أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← اَبِیْ صَالِحٍ ← سُمَيٍّ ← مَالِكٍ، ← أَبُو عَاصِمٍ

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ يَعْمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْنَا أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الطَّاعُونِ فَأَخْبَرَهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ کَانَ عَذَابًا يَبْعَثُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَی مَنْ يَشَائُ فَجَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَلَيْسَ مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَقَعُ الطَّاعُونُ فَيَمْکُثُ فِي بَلَدِهِ صَابِرًا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَهُ إِلَّا مَا کَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ إِلَّا کَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ الشَّهِيدِ تَابَعَهُ النَّضْرُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ

Narrated `Aisha: During the Prophet's fatal illness, he used to recite the Mu'auwidhat (Surat An-Nas and Surat Al- Falaq) and then blow his breath over his body. When his illness was aggravated, I used to recite those two Suras and blow my breath over him and make him rub his body with his own hand for its blessings." (Ma`mar asked Az-Zuhri: How did the Prophet use to blow? Az-Zuhri said: He used to blow on his hands and then passed them over his face.)

عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ← یَّحْیَی بْنِ یَعْمُرَ ← عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ← دَاوٗدَ بْنِ اَبِیْ الْفُرَاتِ ← حِبَّانُ ← إِسْحَاقُ

حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَی أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَنْفُثُ عَلَی نَفْسِهِ فِي الْمَرَضِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ فَلَمَّا ثَقُلَ کُنْتُ أَنْفِثُ عَلَيْهِ بِهِنَّ وَأَمْسَحُ بِيَدِ نَفْسِهِ لِبَرَکَتِهَا فَسَأَلْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ کَيْفَ يَنْفِثُ قَالَ کَانَ يَنْفِثُ عَلَی يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَمْسَحُ بِهِمَا وَجْهَهُ

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Some of the companions of the Prophet came across a tribe amongst the tribes of the Arabs, and that tribe did not entertain them. While they were in that state, the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion). They said, (to the companions of the Prophet ), "Have you got any medicine with you or anybody who can treat with Ruqya?" The Prophet's companions said, "You refuse to entertain us, so we will not treat (your chief) unless you pay us for it." So they agreed to pay them a flock of sheep. One of them (the Prophet's companions) started reciting Surat-al-Fatiha and gathering his saliva and spitting it (at the snake-bite). The patient got cured and his people presented the sheep to them, but they said, "We will not take it unless we ask the Prophet (whether it is lawful)." When they asked him, he smiled and said, "How do you know that Surat-al-Fatiha is a Ruqya? Take it (flock of sheep) and assign a share for me."

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَکِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَوْا عَلَی حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَائِ الْعَرَبِ فَلَمْ يَقْرُوهُمْ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ کَذَلِکَ إِذْ لُدِغَ سَيِّدُ أُولَئِکَ فَقَالُوا هَلْ مَعَکُمْ مِنْ دَوَائٍ أَوْ رَاقٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّکُمْ لَمْ تَقْرُونَا وَلَا نَفْعَلُ حَتَّی تَجْعَلُوا لَنَا جُعْلًا فَجَعَلُوا لَهُمْ قَطِيعًا مِنْ الشَّائِ فَجَعَلَ يَقْرَأُ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَيَجْمَعُ بُزَاقَهُ وَيَتْفِلُ فَبَرَأَ فَأَتَوْا بِالشَّائِ فَقَالُوا لَا نَأْخُذُهُ حَتَّی نَسْأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلُوهُ فَضَحِکَ وَقَالَ وَمَا أَدْرَاکَ أَنَّهَا رُقْيَةٌ خُذُوهَا وَاضْرِبُوا لِي بِسَهْمٍ

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Some of the companions of the Prophet passed by some people staying at a place where there was water, and one of those people had been stung by a scorpion. A man from those staying near the water, came and said to the companions of the Prophet, "Is there anyone among you who can do Ruqya as near the water there is a person who has been stung by a scorpion." So one of the Prophet's companions went to him and recited Surat-al-Fatiha for a sheep as his fees. The patient got cured and the man brought the sheep to his companions who disliked that and said, "You have taken wages for reciting Allah's Book." When they arrived at Medina, they said, ' O Allah's Apostle! (This person) has taken wages for reciting Allah's Book" On that Allah's Apostle said, "You are most entitled to take wages for doing a Ruqya with Allah's Book."

أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ← أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، ← أَبِي بِشْرٍ، ← شُعْبَةُ، ← غُنْدَرٌ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَکْرٍ أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَتْهُ قَالَتْ جَائَتْنِي امْرَأَةٌ مَعَهَا ابْنَتَانِ تَسْأَلُنِي فَلَمْ تَجِدْ عِنْدِي غَيْرَ تَمْرَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَأَعْطَيْتُهَا فَقَسَمَتْهَا بَيْنَ ابْنَتَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَامَتْ فَخَرَجَتْ فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ فَقَالَ مَنْ يَلِي مِنْ هَذِهِ الْبَنَاتِ شَيْئًا فَأَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهِنَّ کُنَّ لَهُ سِتْرًا مِنْ النَّارِ

Narrated Abu Qatada: The Prophet came out towards us, while carrying Umamah, the daughter of Abi Al-As (his granddaughter) over his shoulder. He prayed, and when he wanted to bow, he put her down, and when he stood up, he lifted her up.

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ حَدَّثَتْهُ ← عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ ← الزُّهْرِيِّ، ← شُعَيْبٌ، ← أَبُو الْيَمَانِ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُمَامَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ عَلَی عَاتِقِهِ فَصَلَّی فَإِذَا رَکَعَ وَضَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَفَعَهَا

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle kissed Al-Hasan bin `Ali while Al-Aqra' bin H`Abis at-Tamim was sitting beside him. Al-Aqra said, "I have ten children and I have never kissed anyone of them," Allah's Apostle cast a look at him and said, "Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully."

أَبُو قَتَادَةَ ← عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ← سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، ← اللَّيْثُ ← أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ وَعِنْدَهُ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ جَالِسًا فَقَالَ الْأَقْرَعُ إِنَّ لِي عَشَرَةً مِنْ الْوَلَدِ مَا قَبَّلْتُ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ لَا يُرْحَمُ

Narrated `Aisha: A bedouin came to the Prophet and said, "You (people) kiss the boys! We don't kiss them." The Prophet said, "I cannot put mercy in your heart after Allah has taken it away from it."

عِنْدَهُ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ جَالِسًا، ← قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ← أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ← الزُّهْرِيِّ، ← شُعَيْبٌ، ← أَبُو الْيَمَانِ،

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ جَائَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ تُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوَأَمْلِکُ لَکَ أَنْ نَزَعَ اللَّهُ مِنْ قَلْبِکَ الرَّحْمَةَ

Narrated `Umar bin Al-Khattab: Some Sabi (i.e. war prisoners, children and woman only) were brought before the Prophet and behold, a woman amongst them was milking her breasts to feed and whenever she found a child amongst the captives, she took it over her chest and nursed it (she had lost her child but later she found him) the Prophet said to us, "Do you think that this lady can throw her son in the fire?" We replied, "No, if she has the power not to throw it (in the fire)." The Prophet then said, "Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this lady to her son."

تُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ فَمَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ ← جَائَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَی النَّبِيِّ ← عَائِشَةَ ← عُرْوَةَ ← هِشَامٍ ← سُفْيَانَ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَدِمَ عَلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْيٌ فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ السَّبْيِ قَدْ تَحْلُبُ ثَدْيَهَا تَسْقِي إِذَا وَجَدَتْ صَبِيًّا فِي السَّبْيِ أَخَذَتْهُ فَأَلْصَقَتْهُ بِبَطْنِهَا وَأَرْضَعَتْهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتُرَوْنَ هَذِهِ طَارِحَةً وَلَدَهَا فِي النَّارِ قُلْنَا لَا وَهِيَ تَقْدِرُ عَلَی أَنْ لَا تَطْرَحَهُ فَقَالَ لَلَّهُ أَرْحَمُ بِعِبَادِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ بِوَلَدِهَا

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, Allah divided Mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety nine parts with Him and sent down one part to the earth, and because of that, its one single part, His Creations are merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَکَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْبَهْرَانِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الرَّحْمَةَ مِائَةَ جُزْئٍ فَأَمْسَکَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ جُزْئًا وَأَنْزَلَ فِي الْأَرْضِ جُزْئًا وَاحِدًا فَمِنْ ذَلِکَ الْجُزْئِ يَتَرَاحَمُ الْخَلْقُ حَتَّی تَرْفَعَ الْفَرَسُ حَافِرَهَا عَنْ وَلَدِهَا خَشْيَةَ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُ

Narrated `Abdullah: I said 'O Allah's Apostle! Which sin is the greatest?" He said, "To set up a rival unto Allah, though He Alone created you." I said, "What next?" He said, "To kill your son lest he should share your food with you." I further asked, "What next?" He said, "To commit illegal sexual intercourse with the wife of your neighbor." And then Allah revealed as proof of the statement of the Prophet: 'Those who invoke not with Allah any other god)................. (to end of verse)...' (25.68)

سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ← الزُّهْرِيِّ، ← شُعَيْبٌ، ← أبو اليمان الحكم بن نافع البهراني

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ کَثِيرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ قَالَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَکَ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيُّ قَالَ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَکَ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَأْکُلَ مَعَکَ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَيُّ قَالَ أَنْ تُزَانِيَ حَلِيلَةَ جَارِکَ وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَصْدِيقَ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ الْآيَةَ

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet took a child in his lap for Tahnik (i.e. he chewed a date in his mouth and put its juice in the mouth of the child). The child urinated on him, so he asked for water and poured it over the place of the urine.

قُلْتُ ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ← عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، ← أَبِي وَائِلٍ ← مَنْصُورٌ، ← سُفْيَانَ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ،
