حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًی أَتَدْرُونَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ فَإِنَّ هَذَا يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ أَفَتَدْرُونَ أَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ أَتَدْرُونَ أَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْکُمْ دِمَائَکُمْ وَأَمْوَالَکُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَکُمْ کَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِکُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِکُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِکُمْ هَذَا

Narrated `Abdullah: Allah's Apostle said, "Abusing a Muslim is Fusuq (i.e., an evil-doing), and killing him is Kufr (disbelief).

Narrated Abu Dhar: That he heard the Prophet saying, "If somebody accuses another of Fusuq (by calling him 'Fasiq' i.e. a wicked person) or accuses him of Kufr, such an accusation will revert to him (i.e. the accuser) if his companion (the accused) is innocent."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ عَنْ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَی بْنُ يَعْمَرَ أَنَّ أَبَا الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَرْمِي رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا بِالْفُسُوقِ وَلَا يَرْمِيهِ بِالْکُفْرِ إِلَّا ارْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ لَمْ يَکُنْ صَاحِبُهُ کَذَلِکَ

Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle was neither a Fahish (one who had a bad tongue) nor a Sabbaba (one who abuses others) and he used to say while admonishing somebody, "What is wrong with him? May dust be on his forehead!"

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمْ يَکُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاحِشًا وَلَا لَعَّانًا وَلَا سَبَّابًا کَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ الْمَعْتَبَةِ مَا لَهُ تَرِبَ جَبِينُهُ

Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak: (who was one of the companions who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet underneath the tree (Al-Hudaibiya)) Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever swears by a religion other than Islam (i.e. if somebody swears by saying that he is a non-Muslim e.g., a Jew or a Christian, etc.) in case he is telling a lie, he is really so if his oath is false, and a person is not bound to fulfill a vow about a thing which he does not possess. And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection; And if somebody curses a believer, then his sin will be as if he murdered him; And whoever accuses a believer of Kufr (disbelief), then it is as if he killed him."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَکِ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ أَبِي کَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ الضَّحَّاکِ وَکَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَی مِلَّةٍ غَيْرِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَهُوَ کَمَا قَالَ وَلَيْسَ عَلَی ابْنِ آدَمَ نَذْرٌ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِکُ وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَيْئٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا عُذِّبَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ لَعَنَ مُؤْمِنًا فَهُوَ کَقَتْلِهِ وَمَنْ قَذَفَ مُؤْمِنًا بِکُفْرٍ فَهُوَ کَقَتْلِهِ

Narrated Sulaiman bin Surad: A man from the companions of the Prophet said, "Two men abused each other in front of the Prophet and one of them became angry and his anger became so intense that his face became swollen and changed. The Prophet said, "I know a word the saying of which will cause him to relax if he does say it." Then a man went to him and informed him of the statement of the Prophet and said, "Seek refuge with Allah from Satan." On that, angry man said, 'Do you find anything wrong with me? Am I insane? Go away!"

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اسْتَبَّ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَغَضِبَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَاشْتَدَّ غَضَبُهُ حَتَّی انْتَفَخَ وَجْهُهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ کَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ عَنْهُ الَّذِي يَجِدُ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ تَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ فَقَالَ أَتُرَی بِي بَأْسٌ أَمَجْنُونٌ أَنَا اذْهَبْ

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle went out to inform the people about the (date of the Night of decree (Al-Qadr). There happened a quarrel between two Muslim men. The Prophet said, "I came out to inform you about the Night of Al-Qadr, but as so-and-so and so-and-so quarrelled, so the news about it had been taken away; and may be it was better for you. So look for it in the ninth, the seventh, or the fifth (of the last ten days of Ramadan).

اذْهَبْ‏.‏ ← أَتُرَی بِي بَأْسٌ أَمَجْنُونٌ ← تَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ ← بِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ ← اسْتَبَّ رَجُلاَنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ فَغَضِبَ أَحَدُهُمَا، فَاشْتَدَّ غَضَبُهُ حَتَّى انْتَفَخَ وَجْهُهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ، ← سليمان بن صرد رجلا من أصحاب النبي ← عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ← الْاَعْمَشِ ← أَبِي ← عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ،

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُخْبِرَ النَّاسَ بِلَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَتَلَاحَی رَجُلَانِ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجْتُ لِأُخْبِرَکُمْ فَتَلَاحَی فُلَانٌ وَفُلَانٌ وَإِنَّهَا رُفِعَتْ وَعَسَی أَنْ يَکُونَ خَيْرًا لَکُمْ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي التَّاسِعَةِ وَالسَّابِعَةِ وَالْخَامِسَةِ

Narrated Ma'rur: I saw Abu Dhar wearing a Burd (garment) and his slave too was wearing a Burd, so I said (to Abu Dhar), "If you take this (Burda of your slave) and wear it (along with yours), you will have a nice suit (costume) and you may give him another garment." Abu Dhar said, "There was a quarrel between me and another man whose mother was a non-Arab and I called her bad names. The man mentioned (complained about) me to the Prophet. The Prophet said, "Did you abuse so-and-so?" I said, "Yes" He said, "Did you call his mother bad names?" I said, "Yes". He said, "You still have the traits of (the Pre-lslamic period of) ignorance." I said. "(Do I still have ignorance) even now in my old age?" He said, "Yes, they (slaves or servants) are your brothers, and Allah has put them under your command. So the one under whose hand Allah has put his brother, should feed him of what he eats, and give him dresses of what he wears, and should not ask him to do a thing beyond his capacity. And if at all he asks him to do a hard task, he should help him therein."

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَی النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَکْلِ کُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنْ السَّبُعِ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ حَتَّی أَتَيْتُ الشَّأْمَ وَزَادَ اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ نَتَوَضَّأُ أَوْ نَشْرَبُ أَلْبَانَ الْأُتُنِ أَوْ مَرَارَةَ السَّبُعِ أَوْ أَبْوَالَ الْإِبِلِ قَالَ قَدْ کَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَتَدَاوَوْنَ بِهَا فَلَا يَرَوْنَ بِذَلِکَ بَأْسًا فَأَمَّا أَلْبَانُ الْأُتُنِ فَقَدْ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ لُحُومِهَا وَلَمْ يَبْلُغْنَا عَنْ أَلْبَانِهَا أَمْرٌ وَلَا نَهْيٌ وَأَمَّا مَرَارَةُ السَّبُعِ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَا ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ أَکْلِ کُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنْ السَّبُاعِ

Narrated Yunus: I asked Ibn Shihab, "May we perform the ablution with the milk of she-asses or drink it, or drink the bile of wild animals or urine of camels?" He replied, "The Muslims used to treat themselves with that and did not see any harm in it. As for the milk of she-asses, we have learnt that Allah's Apostle forbade the eating of their meat, but we have not received any information whether drinking of their milk is allowed or forbidden." As for the bile of wild animals, Ibn Shihab said, "Abu Idris Al-Khaulani told me that Allah's Apostle forbade the eating of the flesh of every wild beast having fangs . "

وَزَادَ اللَّيْثُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَسَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ نَتَوَضَّأُ أَوْ نَشْرَبُ أَلْبَانَ الْأُتُنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ مَرَارَةَ السَّبُعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ أَبْوَالَ الْإِبِلِ ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ كَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَتَدَاوَوْنَ بِهَا فَلَا يَرَوْنَ بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَّا أَلْبَانُ الْأُتُنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَدْ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ لُحُومِهَا وَلَمْ يَبْلُغْنَا عَنْ أَلْبَانِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَمْرٌ وَلَا نَهْيٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَمَّا مَرَارَةُ السَّبُعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ :‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السَّبُعِ.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "If a fly falls in the vessel of any of you, let him dip all of it (into the vessel) and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing (antidote for it) i e. the treatment for that disease."

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.''

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِکٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يُخْبِرُونَهُ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَی مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلَائَ

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Apostle! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." The Prophet said, 'You are not one of those who do that out of conceit."

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَی بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلَائَ لَمْ يَنْظُرْ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَ شِقَّيْ إِزَارِي يَسْتَرْخِي إِلَّا أَنْ أَتَعَاهَدَ ذَلِکَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَسْتَ مِمَّنْ يَصْنَعُهُ خُيَلَائَ

Narrated Abu Bakra: The solar eclipse occurred while we were sitting with the Prophet He got up dragging his garment (on the ground) hurriedly till he reached the mosque The people turned (to the mosque) and he offered a two-rak`at prayer whereupon the eclipse was over and he traced us and said, "The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah, so if you see a thing like this (eclipse) then offer the prayer and invoke Allah till He remove that state."
