463 - حدثنا أحمد بن إسحاق ثنا وهيب أنبأ أيوب عن [ ص 521 ] عمرو بن سعيد عن أبي زرعة بن عمرو بن جرير Y أن رجلا جاء الى رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يتقاضاه تمرا فاستنظره رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فأبى أن ينتظره فانتهره أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم فقال أحرج عليك أن أخرج من المدينة وأنا أطلبك منه شيء فإني والله لا أرجع الى أرضي حتى يذهب منها أكثر مما أطلبك به فأرسل الى امرأة من بني سليم يقال لها خولة يستسلفها تمرا فأرسلت اليه بتمر فقالت ان أردت من هذا فعندنا منه ما أردتم قال تريد من هذا قال نعم قال اذهب فاكتل واستوفيه ثم قال هو كان الى نصرتكم أحوج وانا الى أن تأمروني بأداء أمانتي أحوج وقال ان الله لا يقدس على امة لا تنصر ضعيفها أو قال لا يقوى ضعيفها

465 - حدثنا عاصم بن علي ثنا محمد بن الفرات التميمي قال سمعت محارب بن دثار يقول أخبرني عبد الله بن عمر أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول Y شاهد الزور لا تزول قدماه حتى يوجب له النار قال والطير يوم القيامة تحت العرش ترتفع مناقيرها وتضرب بأذنابها وتطرح ما في بطونها وليس عندها طلبة قال محارب يومئذ يعظ رجلا يقول له اتق ذلك اليوم قلت قصة شاهد الزور رواها بن ماجة

466 - حدثنا روح بن عبادة ثنا حسين بن ذكوان المعلم عن عبد الله بن [ ص 524 ] بريدة Y أن عمر بن الخطاب جمع الناس لقدوم الوفد فقال لابنه عبيد الله أو عبد الله بن الأرقم أنظروا أصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه و سلم فأذن لهم أول الناس ثم القوم الذي يلونهم قال فدخلوا عليه فصفوا قدامه فإذا رجل ضخم عليه مقطعة برود فأومأ اليه فقال عمر ايه ثلاث مرار فقال الرجل ايه ثلاث مرار فقال له عمر قم فقام الى مجلسه قال ثم نظر فإذا الأشعري خفيف الجسم قصير سبط قال فأومأ اليه فأتاه فقال له عمر ايه فقال له الأشعري يا أمير المؤمنين سلنا أو افتح حدثنا فنحدثك قال عمر أف قال فنظر فإذا رجل أبيض خفيف الجسم فأومأ اليه فأتاه فقال له عمر ايه قال فوثب فحمد الله وأثنا عليه ووعظ بالله ثم قال انك وليت هذه الأمة فاتق الله فيما وليت من أمر هذه الأمة ورعيتك وفي نفسك خاصة فإنك محاسب ومسؤول عن ما استرعيت وانما أنت أمين وانما عليك أن تؤدي ما عليك من الأمانة وتعط أجرك على قدر عملك قال ما صدقني رجل منذ استخلفت غيرك من أنت قال أنا ربيع بن زياد قال أخو المهاجر بن زياد قال فجهز عمر جيشا واستعمل عليهم الأشعري ثم قال أنظر ربيع بن زياد فإنه إن كان صادقا فيما يقول فان عنده عون على هذا الأمر فاستعمله ثم لا يأتين عليك عشر الا تعاهدت فيهن عمله واكتب الي سيرته في عمله حتى كأني أنا الذي استعملته ثم قال عمر عهد إلينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم ان أخوف ما أخاف عليكم منافق عليم اللسان
