1939- وقال عمرو بن عثمان الواسطي ابن أخي علي بن عاصم قال : سألت هشيماً , وجريراً , والمعتمر , ومرحوماً , وعمي علي بن عاصم , وأبا بكر بن عياش , وأبا معاوية , وسفيان , والمطلب بن زياد , ويزيد بن هارون عن من قال القرآن مخلوق ؟ فقالوا : زنادقة . قال أبو بكر : زنادقة يقتلون . قلت ليزيد بن هارون : يقتلون يا أبا خالد بالسيف ؟ قال : بالسيف .

1940- وأخبرنا من سمع يعقوب بن إبراهيم بن سعد يقول : جاء سعد ابن عبد الرحمن الجمحي فسأل أبي عن رجل يقول : القرآن مخلوق ؟ فقال : هذا كافر بالله تضرب عنقه من ها هنا وأشار بيده إلى عنقه . فقلت ليعقوب : أي شئ تقول أنت ؟ قال : القرآن كلام الله وليس بمخلوق .

1841- وأخبرني فطر بن حماد قال : سألت المعتمر , وحماد بن زيد عن من قال القرآن مخلوق ؟ فقالا : كافر . قال : وسألت يزيد بن زريع صليت خلف من يقول القرآن مخلوق ؟ فقال : خلف رجل مسلم أحب إلي . وسمعت حسيناً يقول : سمعت قبيصة يقول : من قال محدث فهو يقول إنه مخلوق ومن قال إنه مخلوق فهو كافر بالله . سمعته من وكيع وقد أخبرتك من ينصب في هذا الأمر ويقوم به في تكفير من مضى لهم بيان ذلك حتى تكلموا في استتابتهم وموارثتهم ولو كان هذا الأمر الذي جاءت به الجهمية أمراً يرتاب في أو شك فيه لما سمع أهل العلم التكذيب به ولا إخراج أهله من الحق ولا إثبات ما جحدوه من صفات الله عز وجل وأسمائه وانتحالهم خلق القرآن ولا جاز لهم مباينتهم إذا استتابوا بشراً وأصحابه . ولوجب عليهم الإمساك عنهم وترك الرد عليهم والخلاف لهم ولكنهم كانوا والله أعلم وأشد في أمره في أن يشكوا فيما قد وضح لهم من الحق . وبان لهم من (1) فاتق الله وانظر لنفسك فإني قد نصحتك وأحببت لك ما أحببت لنفسي ودعوتك إلى ما عليه شيخ الإسلام أبو عبد الله وأهل العلم قبلنا (2) وانقاد للحق وتواضب عليه وعظم أمره وبين ذلك وأكشفه فإني أرجو أن (3) الله عز وجل إليك بقلوب المؤمنين ويشرح صدرك بالذي شرح به صدورهم إذا علم منك الصدق والتواضع والاستكانة والتضرع إليه فإن كان قوم قد نازعوك هذا وأنكروه عليك فألن لهم جانبك وتواضع للحق والفهم وبين ذلك فقد كان من ابن عليه كلام في (1) ومجالسته أيوب , ويونس , وابن عون , والتيمي فما منعه ذلك أن كشفه على رؤوس الناس ورجع عنه فرفعه الله بذلك . فإن الله عز وجل كافيك ما تحذر . فإني قد رأيت أبا عبد الله يحب أن يوفقك الله . ورأيته معنى بأمرك يحب أن يسددك الله للذي أجمع عليه أصحابك من أهل السنة وأهل الحديث فإن هذا عنده مثل رأي الجهمية عصمنا الله وإياك وبالله التوفيق وجمع لنا ولك خير الدنيا والآخرة . وقد بلغني أن زكريا أظهر كتاباً بحضرتك حكى فيه حكايات في الوقف عن مشيخة عرفها الناس عندنا أنها كذب . قال أبو بكر المروذي : هذا آخر الكتاب الذي سطر أبو عبد الله فيه وصححه بخطه .

1942- أخبرنا محمد بن علي أبو بكر , أن يعقوب بن بختان حدثهم ؛ قال : قلت لأبي عبد الله : أن رجلا جاء إلى سجادة . وأخبرني عبد الكريم بن الهيثم الديرعاقولي قال : حدثني الحسين بن البزار قال : قيل لأبي عبد الله أحمد بن حنبل أن سجادة سئل عن رجل قال : امرأته طالق ثلاثاً إن كلم زنديقا . فكلم رجلاً يقول القرآن مخلوق . فقال سجادة : طلقت امرأته . فقال أبو عبد الله : ما أبعد .

1944- أخبرني علي بن الحسن بن هارون قال : حدثني محمد بن أبي هارون قال : حدثني أبو بكر بن زنجوية قال : سئل عبد الوهاب عن رجل حلف بالطلاق أن لايكلم كافراً ، فكلم رجلاً يقول : القرآن مخلوق . قال حنث . وقال : إذا حلف بالقرآن فحنث عليه بكل آية كفارة يمين . فهذا حجة قوية على الجهمية .
