1929- وأخبرنيه أيضا أبو بكر الأعين أنه ، سمع من عمرو بن هارون هذا . قال : سمعت ابن عيينة يقول هذا . وسمعت جعفر بن مكرم يقول : سمعت وهب بن جرير يقول : القرآن كلام الله والله ليس بمخلوق . وسمعت أبا عبد الله يقول هذا . ويقول : بلغني هذا عن جعفر بن محمد الجمحي , وإبراهيم بن سعد , وأبو النضر ، ووهب بن جرير , ووكيع وغيرهم أنهم كانوا يقولون : القرآن كلام الله غير مخلوق . وأنه مِنْ من يقول غير مخلوق . فهل يحل عنده محل الجهمية النافية وقد سمعت من يقول : وقع بيني وبين مثنى الأنماطي كلام ونحن في طريق مكة فأتيت وكيعا وسألته عن من قال : القرآن مخلوق ؟ فقال : هذا كفر . هذا كفر . هذا كفر كفر.

1939- وقال عمرو بن عثمان الواسطي ابن أخي علي بن عاصم قال : سألت هشيماً , وجريراً , والمعتمر , ومرحوماً , وعمي علي بن عاصم , وأبا بكر بن عياش , وأبا معاوية , وسفيان , والمطلب بن زياد , ويزيد بن هارون عن من قال القرآن مخلوق ؟ فقالوا : زنادقة . قال أبو بكر : زنادقة يقتلون . قلت ليزيد بن هارون : يقتلون يا أبا خالد بالسيف ؟ قال : بالسيف .
