Sahih Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

This hadith had been transmitted on the authority of Anas through another chain of narrators.

النَّبِيِّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ← أَنَسٍ، ← قَتَادَةَ ← سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، ← سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تَبَارَکَ وَتَعَالَی مَلَائِکَةً سَيَّارَةً فُضُلًا يَتَتَبَّعُونَ مَجَالِسَ الذِّکْرِ فَإِذَا وَجَدُوا مَجْلِسًا فِيهِ ذِکْرٌ قَعَدُوا مَعَهُمْ وَحَفَّ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا بِأَجْنِحَتِهِمْ حَتَّی يَمْلَئُوا مَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ السَّمَائِ الدُّنْيَا فَإِذَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَرَجُوا وَصَعِدُوا إِلَی السَّمَائِ قَالَ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ جِئْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ عِبَادٍ لَکَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُسَبِّحُونَکَ وَيُکَبِّرُونَکَ وَيُهَلِّلُونَکَ وَيَحْمَدُونَکَ وَيَسْأَلُونَکَ قَالَ وَمَاذَا يَسْأَلُونِي قَالُوا يَسْأَلُونَکَ جَنَّتَکَ قَالَ وَهَلْ رَأَوْا جَنَّتِي قَالُوا لَا أَيْ رَبِّ قَالَ فَکَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْا جَنَّتِي قَالُوا وَيَسْتَجِيرُونَکَ قَالَ وَمِمَّ يَسْتَجِيرُونَنِي قَالُوا مِنْ نَارِکَ يَا رَبِّ قَالَ وَهَلْ رَأَوْا نَارِي قَالُوا لَا قَالَ فَکَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْا نَارِي قَالُوا وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَکَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُمْ فَأَعْطَيْتُهُمْ مَا سَأَلُوا وَأَجَرْتُهُمْ مِمَّا اسْتَجَارُوا قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ رَبِّ فِيهِمْ فُلَانٌ عَبْدٌ خَطَّائٌ إِنَّمَا مَرَّ فَجَلَسَ مَعَهُمْ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ وَلَهُ غَفَرْتُ هُمْ الْقَوْمُ لَا يَشْقَی بِهِمْ جَلِيسُهُمْ

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying Allah has mobile (squads) of angels, who have no other work (to attend to but) to follow the assemblies of Dhikr and when they find such assemblies in which there is Dhikr (of Allah) they sit in them and some of them surround the others with their wings till the space between them and the sky of the world is fully covered, and when they disperse (after the assembly of Dhikr is adjourned) they go upward to the heaven and Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, asks them although He is best informed about them: Where have you come from? They say: We come from Thine servants upon the earth who had been glorifying Thee (reciting Subhan Allah), uttering Thine Greatness (saying Allah o-Akbar) and uttering Thine Oneness (La ilaha ill Allah) and praising Thee (uttering al-Hamdu Lillah) and begging of Thee. Be would say: What do they beg of Me? They would say: They beg of Thee the Paradise of Thine. He (God) would say: Have they seen My Paradise? They said: No, our Lord. He would say: (What it would be then) if they were to see Mine Paradise? They (the angels) said: They seek Thine protection. He (the Lord) would say: Against what do they seek protection of Mine? They (the angels) would say: Our Lord, from the Hell-Fire. He (the Lord) would say: Have they seen My Fire? They would say: No. He (the Lord) would say: What it would be if they were to see My Fire? They would say: They beg of Thee forgiveness. He would say: I grant pardon to them, and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them protection against which they seek protection. They (the angels) would again say: Our Lord, there is one amongst them such and such simple servant who happened to pass by (that assembly) and sat there along with them (who had been participating in that assembly). He (the Lord) would say: I also grant him pardon, for they are a people the seat-fellows of whom are in no way unfortunate.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ جَائَ حَبْرٌ إِلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَوْ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَی يُمْسِکُ السَّمَاوَاتِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالْمَائَ وَالثَّرَی عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَسَائِرَ الْخَلْقِ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّهُنَّ فَيَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ فَضَحِکَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَعَجُّبًا مِمَّا قَالَ الْحَبْرُ تَصْدِيقًا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَی عَمَّا يُشْرِکُونَ

Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported that a Jewish scholar came to Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) and said: Muhammad, or Abu al-Qasim, verily, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious would carry the Heavens on the Day of Judgment upon one finger and earths upon one finger and the mountains and trees upon one finger and the ocean and moist earth upon one finger, and in fact the whole of the creation upon one finger, and then He would stir them and say: I am your Lord, I am your Lord. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) smiled testifying what that scholar had said. He then recited this verse: And they honour not Allah with the honour due to Him; and the whole earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection and the heaven rolled up in His right hand. Glory be to Him I and highly Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him) (Az-Zumar:67).

يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَوْ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ← جَائَ حَبْرٌ إِلَی النَّبِيِّ ← عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ← عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ ← إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ← مَنْصُورٌ، ← فُضَيْل يَعْنِي ابْن عِيَاض ← أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ،

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَإِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ کِلَاهُمَا عَنْ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ جَائَ حَبْرٌ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ فُضَيْلٍ وَلَمْ يَذْکُرْ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّهُنَّ وَقَالَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحِکَ حَتَّی بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ تَعَجُّبًا لِمَا قَالَ تَصْدِيقًا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَتَلَا الْآيَةَ

This hadlth has been narrated on the authority of Mansur with the same chain of truemittm (and the words are): A Jew scholar came to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ). The rest of the hadith is the same, but there is no mention of then He would stir them. But there is this addition: I saw Allah's Messengcr ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) smiling so much that his front teeth appeared and testifying him (th Jew scholar) ; then Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) recited the verse: And they honour not Allah with the honour due to Him (xxxix. 67).

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَلْقَمَةَ يَقُولُا قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ جَائَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْکِتَابِ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِکُ السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالْأَرْضِينَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ وَالثَّرَی عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلَائِقَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحِکَ حَتَّی بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ

Abdullah reported that a person from the People of the Book came to Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) and said: Abu al-Qasim, verily, Allah holds the Heavens upon one finger and the earths upon one finger and the trees and moist earth upon one finger and in fact the whole of the creation upon one finger and then say: I am the King. I am the King. And he (the narrator) further said: I saw Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) smiling until his front teeth became visible and then he recited the verse: And they measure not the power of Allah with His true measure (39:67).

عَلْقَمَةَ يَقُولُا ← إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ← الْاَعْمَشِ ← أَبِي ← عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو کُرَيْبٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ح و حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَی بْنُ يُونُسَ ح و حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ کُلُّهُمْ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِي حَدِيثِهِمْ جَمِيعًا وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَالثَّرَی عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ وَالْخَلَائِقَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَلَکِنْ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَی إِصْبَعٍ وَزَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ تَصْدِيقًا لَهُ تَعَجُّبًا لِمَا قَالَ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of A'mash with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

جَرِيرٌ کُلُّهُمْ ← عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ← و، ← عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ← إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ← و، ← أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ← أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو کُرَيْبٍ

حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَی أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ کَانَ يَقُولُا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْبِضُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَکَ وَتَعَالَی الْأَرْضَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَطْوِي السَّمَائَ بِيَمِينِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ أَيْنَ مُلُوکُ الْأَرْضِ

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, will take in His grip the Earth on the Day of Judgment and He would roll up the sky in His right hand and would say: I am the Lord; where are the sovereigns of the world?

ابْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ کَانَ يَقُولُا ← ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ← يُونُسَ ← ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ← حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى

و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَطْوِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُنَّ بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنَی ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ أَيْنَ الْجَبَّارُونَ أَيْنَ الْمُتَکَبِّرُونَ ثُمَّ يَطْوِي الْأَرَضِينَ بِشِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِکُ أَيْنَ الْجَبَّارُونَ أَيْنَ الْمُتَکَبِّرُونَ

Abdullah b. 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, would fold the Heavens on the Day of Judgment and then He would place them on His right hand and say: I am the Lord; where are the haughty and where are the proud (today)? He would fold the' earth (placing it) on the left hand and say: I am the Lord; where are the haughty and where are the proud (today)?

عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ← سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ← عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ← أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ← أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ← و،

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ أَنَّهُ نَظَرَ إِلَی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ کَيْفَ يَحْکِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَأْخُذُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَمَاوَاتِهِ وَأَرَضِيهِ بِيَدَيْهِ فَيَقُولُ أَنَا اللَّهُ وَيَقْبِضُ أَصَابِعَهُ وَيَبْسُطُهَا أَنَا الْمَلِکُ حَتَّی نَظَرْتُ إِلَی الْمِنْبَرِ يَتَحَرَّکُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِ شَيْئٍ مِنْهُ حَتَّی إِنِّي لَأَقُولُ أَسَاقِطٌ هُوَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Abdullah b. Miqsam reported that he saw Abdullah b. Umar as he narrated Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, would take in His hand His Heavens and His Earth, and would say: I am Allah. And He would clench His fingers and then would open them (and say): I am your Lord. I saw the pulpit in commotion from underneath because of something (vib-ating) there. And (I felt this commotion so much) that I said (to myself): It may not fall with Allah's Massenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) upon it.

عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، ← أَبُو حَازِمٍ ← يَعْقُوبُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ← سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ،

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَأْخُذُ الْجَبَّارُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَمَاوَاتِهِ وَأَرَضِيهِ بِيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ ذَکَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ يَعْقُوبَ

Abdullah b. Miqsam reported that 'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported: I saw Allah'h Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) upon the pulpit and he was saying that the Mighty Lord, the Exalted and Glorious would take hold of the Heavens and earth in His hand. The rest of the hadith is the same,

نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ يَعْقُوبَ ← يَأْخُذُ الْجَبَّارُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَمَاوَاتِهِ وَأَرَضِيهِ بِيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ ← رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلَی الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ ← عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ← عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، ← أَبِي ← عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ← سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ،

حَدَّثَنِي سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ وَهَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ مَوْلَی أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِي فَقَالَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ التُّرْبَةَ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ وَخَلَقَ فِيهَا الْجِبَالَ يَوْمَ الْأَحَدِ وَخَلَقَ الشَّجَرَ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَخَلَقَ الْمَکْرُوهَ يَوْمَ الثُّلَاثَائِ وَخَلَقَ النُّورَ يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَائِ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا الدَّوَابَّ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ وَخَلَقَ آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي آخِرِ الْخَلْقِ فِي آخِرِ سَاعَةٍ مِنْ سَاعَاتِ الْجُمُعَةِ فِيمَا بَيْنَ الْعَصْرِ إِلَی اللَّيْلِ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَدَّثَنَا الْبِسْطَامِيُّ وَهُوَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَی وَسَهْلُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ بِنْتِ حَفْصٍ وَغَيْرُهُمْ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) took hold of my hands and said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and He caused the animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (peace be upon him) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, i. e. between afternoon and night. This hadith is narrated through another chain of transmitters.

حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ← سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ وَهَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ

حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ سَأَلَ قَتَادَةُ أَنَسًا أَيُّ دَعْوَةٍ کَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَکْثَرَ قَالَ کَانَ أَکْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ قَالَ وَکَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدَعْوَةٍ دَعَا بِهَا فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدُعَائٍ دَعَا بِهَا فِيهِ

Qatada asked Anas which Supplication Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) frequently made. He said: The supplication that he (the Prophet made very frequently is this: O Allah, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell-Fire. He (Qatada) said that whenever Anas had to supplicate he made this very supplication, and whenever he (intended) to make another supplication he (inserted) this very supplication in that.

اللهم آتنا في الدنيا حسنة وفي الآخرة حسنة وقنا عذاب النار ← کَانَ أَکْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا ← سَأَلَ قَتَادَةُ أَنَسًا أَيُّ دَعْوَةٍ کَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَا النَّبِيُّ أَکْثَرَ ← عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صُهَيْبٍ ← إِسْمَعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ ← زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ
