عَنْ طَاوُسٍ الْیَمَانِیِّ:أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنِ جَبَلِ أَخَذَ مِنْ ثَلاثِینَ بَقَرَۃٌ تَبِیعًا، وَمِنْ أَرْبَعِینَ مُسِنَّۃّ، وَأُتِیَ بِمَادُونَ ذَلِکَ، فَأَبِی أَنْ یَاُْخُذِ مِنْیُ شَیْئًا ، وَقَالَ: لَمْ أَسْمَعْ مِنْ رَسُولُ اللہُ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فِیہِ شَیْیًا حِتَّی أَلْقَاہُ فَأَسْأَلَہُ، فَتُوُفِّیَ رَسُولُ اللہُ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أنْ یَقْدَمَ مُعَاذٌ
