أَخْبَرَنِی یَزِیدُ بْنُ الأَصَمِّ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ نَکَحَ مَیْمُونَۃَ وَھُوَ حَلالٌ۔ قَالَ عَمْرٌو: فَقُلْتُ لا بْنِ شِھَابٍ: أَتَجْعَلُ یَزِیدَ بْنَ الأَصَمِّ إِلّی ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ؟۔

May God tell me more than the deaf: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, married Maimouna, and he is permissible. Amr said: So I said, no son of Shihab: do you make more deaf people to Ibn Abbas?
