قال محمد بن الحسين : رأيت منذ سنين كثيرة مع عجوز جوربين أبيضين ، أخبرتني أن شابا من أهل دمشق محبوس في المطبق مظلوم ، وأنه نسج على خصريهما بيتين من الشعر في الغرباء على الأول : غريب يقاسي الهم في أرض غربة فيا رب قرب دار كل غريب وعلى الثاني : وأنا الغريب فلا ألام على البكا إن البكا حسن بكل غريب
