أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ سُبَيْعَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ وَضَعَتْ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِلَيَالٍ فَمَرَّ بِهَا أَبُو السَّنَابِلِ بْنُ بَعْكَكٍ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ تَصَنَّعْتِ لِلأَزْوَاجِ، إِنَّهَا أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرٌ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ سُبَيْعَةُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «كَذَبَ أَبُو السَّنَابِلِ، أَوْ لَيْسَ كَمَا قَالَ أَبُو السَّنَابِلِ، قَدْ حَلَلْتِ فَتَزَوَّجِي» .
