أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ عَنْ زَهْدَمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ يَذْکُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُکُمْ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَذَکَرَ مَرَّتَيْنِ بَعْدَهُ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ ذَکَرَ قَوْمًا يَخُونُونَ وَلَا يُؤْتَمَنُونَ وَيَشْهَدُونَ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ وَيُنْذِرُونَ وَلَا يُوفُونَ وَيَظْهَرُ فِيهِمْ السِّمَنُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ أَبُو جَمْرَةَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3845
‘Imran bin Husain said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘The best of you are my generation, then those who come after them, then those whom after them, then those who come after them.’ — I do not know if he said two times after him or three. Then he mentioned some people who betray and cannot be trusted, who bear witness without being asked to do so, who make vows and do not fulfill them, and fatness will prevail among them.” (Sahih) Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa’i) said: This (one of the narrators) is Nasr bin ‘Imran, Abu Hamzah.
