حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُهُ فِي الْحَقِّ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4550
It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "There is no (justifiable) envy except in two cases: a man to whom Allah gives (causes to learn) the Qur'aan and he recites it during the night and during the day, and a man to whom Allah gives wealth, and he spends it during the night anti during the day."
