حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا قَفَلَ مِنْ الْجُيُوشِ وَالسَّرَايَا أَوْ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَإِذَا أَوْفَى عَلَى أُرْبِيَّةٍ كَبَّرَ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ سَاجِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ صَدَقَ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4960
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was on his way back from a battle or expedition, or from Hajj or 'Umrah, when he reached the top of a hillock or high ground, he would say takbeer three times, then he would say: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the Dominion, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things. Returning, repenting, worshipping and prostrating to our Lord and praising Him. Allah has fulfilled His promise, supported His slave and defeated the confederates alone."
