حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى أَبَاهُ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا كَبَّرَ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5054
Saalim ibn 'Abdullah narrated that he saw his father raise his hands when he said takbeer, and when lie wanted to bow, and when he lifted his head from bowing. I asked him about that and he said that he had seen the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) do that.
