حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالَ يَقُومُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي الرَّشْحِ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ آذَانِهِمْ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5318
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar concerning the verse" 'The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)' [al-Mutaffifeen 83:6], and attributed to the Prophet (PBUH) that he said: "They will stand on the Day of Resurrection submerged in sweat up to halfway up their ears."
