حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا تَبَوَّأَ مَضْجَعَهُ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَفَانِي وَآوَانِي وَأَطْعَمَنِي وَسَقَانِي وَالَّذِي مَنَّ عَلَيَّ وَأَفْضَلَ وَالَّذِي أَعْطَانِي فَأَجْزَلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِكَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَإِلَهَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَلَكَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ النَّارِ

It was narrated from Ibn Buraydah: Ibn 'Umar told me that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) use d to say when lie went to Iris bed: "Praise be to Allah Who has sufficed me, granted me shelter and given me food and drink. Who has granted me blessings and abundance? Who has been generous to me in His giving. Praise be to Allah in all circumstances.O Allah, Lord of all things. Sovereign of all things, God of all things, to you belong all things, I seek refuge inyou from the Fire."
