حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنْ الْجِنِّ وَقَرِينُهُ مِنْ الْمَلَائِكَةِ قَالُوا وَإِيَّاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَإِيَّايَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَلَا يَأْمُرُنِي إِلَّا بِحَقٍّ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 3648
It was narrated that 'Abdullah (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "There is no one among you who has not been allocated his companion from among the jinn and his companion from among the angels." They said: Even you, O Messenger of Allah?. He said: "Even me, but Allah helped me against him, so he does not tell me to do anything except that which is right and proper."
