حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَمَّا أُسْرِيَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْتُهِيَ بِهِ إِلَى سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى وَهِيَ فِي السَّمَاءِ السَّادِسَةِ إِلَيْهَا يُنْتَهَ مَا يُعْرَجُ بِهِ مِنْ الْأَرْضِ فَيُقْبَضُ مِنْهَا وَإِلَيْهَا يُنْتَهَ مَا يُهْبَطُ بِهِ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا فَيُقْبَضُ مِنْهَا قَالَ إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى قَالَ فِرَاشٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ فَأُعْطِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثًا وَأُعْطِيَ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ وَأُعْطِيَ خَوَاتِيمَ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَغُفِرَ لِمَنْ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ شَيْئًا الْمُقْحِمَاتُ

It was narrated that 'Abdullah (RA) said: When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was taken on the Night Journey, he was taken as far as Sidratal-Muntaha, which is in the sixth heaven; anything that ascends from earth stops there and is taken from there; anything that comes down from above stops there and is taken from there. He said: "When that covered the lote tree which did cover it!" [an-Najm 53:16], He said: Butterflies of gold, fie said: And the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was given three things: lie was given the five daily prayers, lie was given the final verses of Soorat al-Baqarah, and those of his nmmah who do not ssociate anything with Allah were forgiven major sins that may cause one to end up in Hellfire.
