أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِيَاضٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ فَيُصَلِّي رَکْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ فَيَأْمُرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَيَکُونُ أَکْثَرَ مَنْ يَتَصَدَّقُ النِّسَائُ فَإِنْ کَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ أَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ بَعْثًا تَکَلَّمَ وَإِلَّا رَجَعَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1584
It was narrated from Abu Saeed that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to go out on the day of ‘Eid and pray two Rak’ahs, then he would deliver the Khutbah and enjoin giving charity, and the ones who gave most charity were the women. If he had any exigency or he needed to send an army he would speak of that, if not, then he would go back. (Sahih)
