أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِنْتٌ لَهَا فِي يَدِ ابْنَتِهَا مَسَکَتَانِ غَلِيظَتَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ أَتُؤَدِّينَ زَکَاةَ هَذَا قَالَتْ لَا قَالَ أَيَسُرُّکِ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَکِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِمَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ نَارٍ قَالَ فَخَلَعَتْهُمَا فَأَلْقَتْهُمَا إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ هُمَا لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2485
It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shuaib, from his father, from his grandfather, that a woman from among the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم with a daughter of hers, and on the daughter’s hand were two thick bangles of gold. He said: “Do you pay Zakah on these?” She said: “No.” He said: “Would it please you if Allah were to put two bangles of fire on you on the Day of Resurrection?” So she took them off and gave them to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and said: “They are for Allah and His Messenger.” (Hasan)
