أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ أَتَيْنَا جَابِرًا فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ لَمْ أَسُقْ الْهَدْيَ وَجَعَلْتُهَا عُمْرَةً فَمَنْ لَمْ يَکُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيُحْلِلْ وَلْيَجْعَلْهَا عُمْرَةً وَقَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ بِهَدْيٍ وَسَاقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ هَدْيًا وَإِذَا فَاطِمَةُ قَدْ لَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاکْتَحَلَتْ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مُحَرِّشًا أَسْتَفْتِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ لَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاکْتَحَلَتْ وَقَالَتْ أَمَرَنِي بِهِ أَبِي صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ أَنَا أَمَرْتُهَا

سنن نسائی · Hadith 2718

It was narrated that Ja’far bin Muhammad said: “My father said: ‘We came to Jabir and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet ,. He told us that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “Had I known when I set out what I know now, I would have brought the HadI (sacrificial animal) with me and I would not have made it ‘Umrah. Whoever does not have a HadI with him, let him exit Ihram and make it ‘Umrah.” ‘All, may Allah be pleased with him, came from Yemen with a HadI, and the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم brought a HadI from Al-Madinab. Fatimah had put on a dyed garment and applied kohl to her eyes, and he (‘All)) said: “I went to the Prophetto complain about that and find out whether she could do that. I said: ‘Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, Fatimah has put on a dyed garment and applied kohl to her eyes, and she said, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم told me to do that.’ He said:
