أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَاضِرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ لَا أُعَلِّمُکُمْ إِلَّا مَا کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ الْعَجْزِ وَالْکَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا وَزَکِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَکَّاهَا أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلَاهَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ وَعِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَدَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 5473
It was narrated that Zaid bin Arqam said: “I will not teach you anything but that which the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to teach us. He said: ‘(Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, old age, the torment of the grave. Allah, make my soul obedient and purify it, for You are the best One to purify it, You are its Guardian and Lord. Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that is not humble, a soul that is not satisfied, knowledge that is of no benefit and a supplication that is not answered.)” (Sahih)
