أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ بِقَدَحَيْنِ مِنْ خَمْرٍ وَلَبَنٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا فَأَخَذَ اللَّبَنَ فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَاکَ لِلْفِطْرَةِ لَوْ أَخَذْتَ الْخَمْرَ غَوَتْ أُمَّتُکَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 5673
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “On the night on which he was taken on the Night Journey (Al-Isra’), two cups, of wine and milk, were brought to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلمHe looked at them and chose the milk. Jibril, peace be upon him, said to him: ‘Praise be to Allah Who has guided you to the Fitrah. If you have chosen the wine, your Ummah would have gone astray.”(Sahih).
