أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا وَصَلَّی خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَقَالَ لَقَدْ کَانَ لَکُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ

It was narrated that ‘Amr — meaning, bin ‘Umar — said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم came and circumambulated the House seven times, then he prayed two Rak’ahs behind the Maqam and performed Sa’I between As-Safa and Al Marwah, and he said: “Indeed in the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم you have a good example to follow.” (Sahih)
