أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ سَبْعًا رَمَلَ ثَلَاثًا وَمَشَی أَرْبَعًا ثُمَّ قَرَأَ وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّی فَصَلَّی سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَجَعَلَ الْمَقَامَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْکَعْبَةِ ثُمَّ اسْتَلَمَ الرُّکْنَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ فَابْدَئُوا بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2969
It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم performed Tawaf, walking rapidly (Ram!) for three circuits, and walking at a ormal pace for four. Then he recited: “And take you the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.” and prayed two Rak’ahs with the Maqa,n between him and the Ka’bah. Then he touched the Corner, then he went out and said: ‘As-Safa and Al Marwah are two of the symbols of Allah. We will start with that with which Allah started.” (Sahih)
