حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَقْبُرِيُّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا أَعْرِفَنَّ مَا يُحَدَّثُ أَحَدُکُمْ عَنِّي الْحَدِيثَ وَهُوَ مُتَّکِئٌ عَلَی أَرِيکَتِهِ فَيَقُولُ اقْرَأْ قُرْآنًا مَا قِيلَ مِنْ قَوْلٍ حَسَنٍ فَأَنَا قُلْتُهُ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 21
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet S.A.W.W said:“I do not want to hear of anyone of you who, upon hearing a Hadith narrated from me, says while reclining on his pillow:‘Recite Qur’ân (to verify this Hadith).’ (Here the Prophet said:) Any excellent word that is said, it is I who have said it.” [How then can you reject what I have said? (Da’if)
