عَنْ أَبِی قَتَادَۃَ الأَنصَارِیِّ: أَنَھُ کَانَ مَعَ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّیْ اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّی إِذَا کَانَ بِبَعْضِ طَرِیقِ مَکَّۃَ، تَخَلَّفَ مَعَ أَصْحَابٍ لَہُ مُحْرِمِینَ، وَھُوَ غَیْرُ مُحْرِمٍ، فَرَأَی حِمَارًا وَحْشِیَّا، فَاسْتَوَی عَلَی فَرَسِہِ ، فَسَأَلَ أَصْحَابَہُ أَنْ یُنَاوِلُوہُ سَوْ طَھُ فَأَبَوْا،فَسَأَلَھُمْ رُمْحَہُ فَأَبَوْا، فَأَخَذَ رُمْحَہُ ، فَشَدَّ عَلَی الْحِمَارِ فَقَتَلَہُ ، فَأَکَلَ مِنْہُ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَی بَعْضُھُمْ، فَلَمَّا أَدْرَکُوا النَّبِیَّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِوَسَلَّمَ سَأَلُوہُ عَنْ ذَلِکَ فَقَالَ :(( إِنَّمَا ھِیَ طُعْمَۃُ أَطْعَمَکُمُوھَا مَا اللہُ تَعَالَی))۔
