أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَیْدُ اللہِ بْنُ أَبِی یَزِیدَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِی أَبِی قَالَ: أَرْسَلَ عُمَرُ إِلَی شَیْخٍ مِنْ بَنِی زُھْرَۃَ، فَجِئْتُ مَعَہُ إِلَی عُمَرَ وَھُوَ فِی الْحِجْرِ، فَسَأَلَہُ عَنْ وِلا دٍ مِنْ وِلا دِ الْجَاھِلِیَّۃِ ، فَقَالَ الشَّیْخُ: أَمَّا النُّطْفَۃُ فَمِنْ فُلان، وَأَمَّا الْوَلَدُ فَعَلَی فِرَاشِ فُلان، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: صَدَقْتَ، وَلَکِنَّ رَسُولَ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَی بِالْوَلَدِ لِلْفِرَاشِ۔ فَلَمَّا وَلَّی الشَّیْخُ دَعَاہُ فَقَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِی عَنْ بِنَاءِ الْبَیْتِ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ قُرَیْشًا کَانَتْ تَقَوَّتْ لِبِنَا ءِ الْبَیْتِ فَعَجِزُوا، فَتَرَکُوا بَعْضَھَا فِی الْحِجْرِ فَقَالَ لَہُ عُمَرُ: صَدَقْتَ ۔ أَخْرَجَ الثَّالثَۃَ الأَحَادِیثَ مِنْ کِتَابِ الْمَنَاسِکِ۔
