عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ قَالَ : مِنَ السُّنَّۃِ أَنْ لا یَؤُمَّھُمْ إِلا صَاحِبُ الْبَیْتِ۔ أَخْرَجَ الْھحَدِیثَیْنِ مِنْ کِتَاب، الإِمَامَۃِ۔

It was narrated on the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, who said: It is Sunnah to lead them only to the owner of the house. He brought the two hadiths out of the book, Imamat۔
