أَنَّ عُبیْدَ بْنَ عُمَیْرٍ اللَّیْثِیَّ حَدَّثَہُ: أَنَّ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ أَبَ ابَکْرٍ أَنْ یُصَلِّیَ بِالنَّاسِ الصُّبْحَ ، وَأَنَّ أَبَا بَکْرٍ کَبَّرَ فَوَجَدَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْضَ الْخِفَّۃِ فَقَامَ یَفْرِجُ الصُّفُوفَ ، قَالَ : وَکَانَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ لا یَلْتَفِتُ إِذَا صَلَّی ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ الْحِسَّ مِنْ وَرَئِہِ عَرَفَ أَنَّہُ لا یَتَقَدَّمُ إِلَی ذَلِکَ الْمَقْعَدِ إِلا رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَنَسَ وَرَاءَ ہُ إِلَی الصَّفِّ فَرَدَّہُ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ مَکَانَہُ فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَی جَنْبِہِ ، وَأَبُو بَکْرٍ بَکْرٍ قَائِمٌ، حَتَّی إِذَا فَرَغَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ قَالَ : أَیْ رَسُولَ اللہِ أَرَاکَ أَصْبَحْتَ صَالِحًا ، وَھَذَا یَوْمُ ابْنَۃِ فَرَجَعَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ إِلَی أَھْلِہِ، فَمَکَثَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ مَکَانَہُ ، وَجَلَسَ إِلَی جَنْبِ الْحُجْرَۃِ یُحَدِّرُ النَّاسَ الْفِتَنَ، قَالَ :(( إِنِّ وَاللہِ لا یُمْسِکُ النَّاسُ عَلَیَّ بِشَی ءٍ إِلا أَنِّی لا أُحِلُّ إِلا مَا أَحَلَّ اللہُ فِی کِتَابِہِ ، وَلا أُحَرِّمُ إِلا مَا حَرَّمَ اللہُ فِی کِتَابِہِ ، یَافَاطِمَۃُ بَنْتَ رَسُولِ اللہِ یَا صَفِیَّۃُ عَمَّۃُ رَسُولِ اللہِ ، اعْمَلا لِمَا عَنْدَ اللہِ، فَإِنِّی لا أُغْنِی عَنْکُمَا مِنَ اللہِ شَیْئًا ))۔
