Abu Hurayrah's narrations reach us through a vast network of teachers and students. He learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ and from senior companions, and in turn became the teacher of hundreds of Tabi'un — the generation whose preservation of his narrations forms the backbone of the major Hadith collections.

Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
«حَيْسٌ»
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ
رَأَيْتُ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ يَقْتَتِلاَنِ وَالنُّجُومَ مَعَهُمَا نِصْفَيْنِ
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»
هَيْعَةُ النَّاسِ حَيْثُ خَرَجُوا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ
قوله تعالى واترك البحر رهوا
رَأَيْتُكَ حِينَ أَرَدْتَ
لَهُ: تَحْفَظُ مِنَ الشِّعْر شيئا؟
تُسَالِمُونَ مَنْ سَالَمْتُ وَتُحَارِبُونَ مَنْ حَارَبْتُ وَلَمَّا تَمَّتِ الْبَيْعَةُ خَطَبَهُمْ
الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ
الغائط و إهراقه الماء من الجنابة و على وضوء
الْغَائِطُ وَإِهْرَاقَةُ الْمَاءِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، وَعَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ،
Classical sources record more than 800 narrators transmitting from Abu Hurayrah. The following are among the most prominent, whose chains form the bulk of his narrations preserved in the Six Books.
يَا بَنِي حَارِثَةَ لَقَدْ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْکُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ
أُهْدِيَتْ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ فَخَبَأْنَاهَا لَكَ،
يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَأَيْت رُؤْيَا أَفْظَعَتْنِي
أَعْلَمُ مَا هِيَ.

Among the most authentic chains in all of Hadith. Found extensively in Sahih al-Bukhari and the Muwatta.
هَيْعَةَ النَّاسِ حِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ
«إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي مِنْ أَعْمَالٍ ثَلَاثَةٍ
نكون من الحال على حال بخلك أن نذكرك عليها
«تَقَبَّلُوا لِي سِتًّا أَتَقَبَّلْ لَكُمْ بِالْجَنَّةِ،
أَبُو بكر: قد علمت مَا هِيَ،
نَكُونُ مِنَ الْحَالِ عَلَى حَالٍ نُجِلُّكَ أَنْ نَذْكُرَكَ عَلَيْهَا،
أُهْدِيَتْ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ،
أُهْدِيَ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ،
ثلاث آيات في القرآن
رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُ أَرْبَعَ خِصَالٍ،
نَعَمْ، آيَةً،
نَتَّخِذُ فِيهَا أَشْرِبَةً قَدْ أُشْكِلَتْ عَلَيْنَا
ثَلَاثِ خِصَالٍ:
بل أجوزها بالزاد. إنما زادي فيها أربعة أشياء،
«إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي ثَلَاثَةَ أَعْمَالٍ»
"إنّي أخافُ على أمَّتي مِنْ أعمالٍ ثلاثةٍ".
وَاللَّهِ لَا أُبَايِعُكُمْ إِلَّا عَلَى مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ
"إني لأخاف على أمتي من بعدي من أعمال ثلاثة".
