Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
ما بعد طريق أدى إلى صديق ولا ضاق مكان من صديق حبيب
فِي بَابِ مِصْرَ بِالسُّرْيَانِيَّةِ فَتَدَبَّرْتُهُ فَإِذَا فِيهِ يُقَدِّرُ الْمُقَدِّرُونَ، وَالْقَضَاءُ يَضْحَكُ
في بعض قرى مصر بالسريانية فتدبرته فإذا فيه يقدر المقدرون والقضاء يضحك
عرف المطيعون عظمتك فخضعوا وسمع بجودك بجودك فطمعوا
من وثق بالمقادير لم يغتم
الأنس بالله نور ساطع و الأنس بالناس غم واقع
ليس العجب ممن ابتلى فصبر و إنما العجب ممن ابتلي فرضي
القرآن كلام الله غير مخلوق
الْأُنْسُ بِاللهِ نُورٌ سَاطِعٌ، وَالْأُنْسُ بِالنَّاسِ غَمٌ وَاقِعٌ
عَرَفَ الْمُطِيعُونَ عَظَمَتَكَ فَخَضَعُوا، وَسَمِعَ الْمُذْنِبُونَ بِجُودِكَ فَطَمِعُوا
لَيْسَ الْعَجَبُ مِمَّنِ ابْتُلِيَ فَصَبَرَ وَإِنَّمَا الْعَجَبُ مِمَّنِ ابْتُلِيَ فَرَضِيَ
إِنَّ «لِلَّهِ عِبَادًا أَسْكَنَهُمْ دَارَ السَّلَامَ فَأَخْمَصُوا الْبُطُونَ
وأومأ إلى موضع بمصر كأنك
سُئِلَ أَيُّ الْحِجَابِ أَخْفَى الَّذِي يَحْتَجِبُ بِهِ الْمُرِيدُ
كُنْتُ فِي الطَّوَافِ وَإِذَا
تَسَمَّعُوا لَيْلًا عَلَى أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ الدَّارَانِيِّ فَسَمِعُوهُ
