Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
وَيْحَکَ إِنَّ شَأْنَ الْهِجْرَةِ شَدِيدٌ فَهَلْ لَکَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ
