Abu Hurayrah's narrations reach us through a vast network of teachers and students. He learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ and from senior companions, and in turn became the teacher of hundreds of Tabi'un — the generation whose preservation of his narrations forms the backbone of the major Hadith collections.

Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
کُنَّا أَکْثَرَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ حَقْلًا وَکَانَ أَحَدُنَا يُکْرِي أَرْضَهُ
بَعْضِ عُمُومَتِهِ،«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَهَى
النَّبِيِّ بِهَذَا وَلَمْ يَذْکُرْ
النَّبِیِّ مِثْلَہُ
تَمِیْمِ بْنِ طَرَفَۃَ،
عرض علي سعد بيتاً له
عرض علي سعد، وذكر الحديث.
قُلْتُ
«كُنَّا نُحَاقِلُ الْأَرْضَ فَنُكْرِيهَا بِالثُّلُثِ وَالرُّبُعِ وَالطَّعَامِ الْمُسَمَّى» رَوَاهُ سَعِيدٌ
أَتَانًا ظُهَيْرُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ فَقَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ

كان النبي يجعل في قسم الغنائم عشر من الشاة ببعير
النبي أنه مر بحائط فأعجبه فقال: ((لمن هذا؟ فقلت: لي
النبي إن بعيراً من إبل الصدقة ند، فطلبوه، فذكر الحديث نحوه.
يَحْيَىقَالَ:
النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِحَائِطٍ فَأَعْجَبَهُ فَقَالَ لِمَنْ هَذَا قُلْتُ هُوَ لِي
كُنَّا أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ حَقْلًا. خ, و
كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ مِنْ تِهَامَةَ.
النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم أنه مر بحائط فأعجبه
وأحمد بن محمد،

أكثر رافع ولو كانت لي أرض أكريتها.
