Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.

الْمُعَصْفَرِ وَالتَّخَتُّمِ بِالذَّهَبِ
تختم الذهب وأن أقرأ وأنا راكع وعن لبس القسي وعن المعصفر المفدم
خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَعَنْ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ وَأَنْ لَا أَقْرَأَ وَأَنَا رَاکِعٌ
