Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
كُنَّا نَرْقِي فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَقُلْنَا:
انطلق النبي
غَزَوْنَا غَزْوَةً إِلَى طَرَفِ الشَّامِ فَأُمِّرَ عَلَيْنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ
انْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ يَوْمًا
أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
غَزَوْنَا مَعَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ،
يَا طَاعُونُ خُذْنِي إِلَيْكَقَالُوا: لِمَ تَقُولُ هَذَا؟ أَلَيْسَ
انْطَلَقَ النَّبِيُّ يَوْمًا
مِنْ دُعَائِهِ وَهُوَ
أتيت النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم فسلمت عليه
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ وَهُوَ فِي خَيْمَةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ، فَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءًا مَكِينًا
كنا عند رسول الله تسعة أو ثمانية أو سبعة،
لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ «أَمْسِكْ سِتًّا قَبْلَ السَّاعَةِ، أَوَّلُهَا وَفَاةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ»
خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِالْهَجِيرِ وَهُوَ مُرْعُوبٌ
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَأَنَاخَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ وَأَنَخْنَا مَعَهُ
خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ وَهُوَ مَرْعُوبٌ
نَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَوْمًا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ

قلت لخالد بن الوليد يوم موته ألم تعلم
خالد بن الوليدأن النبي قضى في السلب للقاتل ولم يخمس في السلب
أبي موسى، حم
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ وَهُوَ فِي خِدْرٍ لَهُ فَقُلْتُ أَدْخُلُ
يَا طَاعُونُ خُذْنِي إِلَيْكَ
خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَاأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ لَمْ يُخَمِّسِ السَّلَبَ. وَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ
رَسُول الله وَصلى على جَنَازَة ثمَّ
كان النبي إذا جاء الفيء يقسمه من يومه
أُمِّ سَلَمَةَعَنِ النَّبِيِّ كَانَ
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
