Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
بيني وبينهم كتاب الله
عِنْدَهُ مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ
عَدَّ كَذَا عَدَّ كَذَا حَتَّى عَدَّ ثَلاَثِينَ.
لَمْ نَسْمَعْ فَقَالَ: بَلَى، وَإِلَّا فَصَمَتَا
حَرَامٌ. فَقِيلَ: إِنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ لَا يَرَى بِهَا بَأْسًا؟
حرام. فقال: إن فلانًا
ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: أُرَاهُمْ سَيَهْلِكُونَ أَقُولُ:قَالَ النَّبِيُّ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَا
حرَامٌ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُفْتِي بِهَا
له علي ما تريد إلى أمر قد فعله رسول الله تنهى عنه
حرام فقيل إن ابن عباس لايرى بها بأسا
بن عباس أراهم سيهلكون أقول
بن عباس ما
لاَ وَلَكِنِّى أَرَدْتُ كَثْرَةَ زِيَارَةِ الْبَيْتِ.
لَمْ نَسْمَعْ،
حَرَامٍ
فَتَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {إِلَّا عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ} [المؤمنون:
عمر لو اعتمرت في عام مرتين ثم حججت لجعلتها مع حجتى
لم نسمع فقال بلى وإلا فصمت
فَتَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ: {إِلاَّ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ}.
عَلِيٌّ مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَی أَمْرٍ فَعَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ تَنْهَی عَنْهُ

له علي: ما تريد إلى أمر فعله رسول الله تنهى عنه؟!
لَهُ سَعْدٌ لَقَدْ تَمَتَّعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَمُعَاوِيَةٌ كَافِرٌ بِالْعُرُشِ
