Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
الصبي حتى يحتلم،
الطِّفْلِ حَتَّى يَحْتَلِمَ
الصَّبِيِّ حَتَّى يَكْبُرَ،
الصغير حتى يبلغ
المجنون حتى يفيق،
الصَّبِيِّ، حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْحِنْثَ
الْمُبْتَلَى حَتَّى يَبْرَأَ،
المجنون حتى يكشف عنه فخلى عنها عمر
عُمَرُ: «صَدَقْتَ»
الْمَوْلُودِ حَتَّى يَكْبُرَ. فَكَبَّرَ عُمَرُ وَلَمْ يَرْجُمُهَا.
الْمَعْتُوهِ حَتَّى يَصِحَّ،
الغلام حتى يحتلم
المعتوه حتى يعقل
